Maheo30 is banned?????

Teenaged
I forgot the word "not". No, he is not banned.
So this Maheo30 guy, was he awesome?BrainSplatter89
He's alright. I don't know him that well, but I see his posts on these boards every now and then.
The mystery lives on. I see you;ve changed your signature.BrainSplatter89
I still think Obama should release his birth certificate, but having it in my signature created a distraction. I created a topic about a Conservapedia glitch, left, and somehow it got hijacked into a discussion about Obama, which while good, was not the appropriate place.

I don't think that's the answer............ or is it? :?

No, that's not the answer. Maheo30 is banned and he wouldn't bandodge. His icon reminds me of maheo30 however. I don't know who Funky_Llama is implying.

maybe he didn't know that blackregiment was unbanned.

I felt that the derailing of your thread was somehow caused due to my noticing of your signature. I am quite proud of my accomplishment.

[QUOTE="Genetic_Code"][QUOTE="BrainSplatter89"] Not really. Christianity is meant to have more of a influence in this world than anything else. Being religious for favours is ridiculous. I still don't know what "Goddess" you are talking about.BrainSplatter89
Oh, then I guess there goes the entire concept of heaven. Goddess is the Ultimate Life Force for all things living and non-living. We are Her Children. We are destined to be with Her so if we abide by Her Law. If mama ain't happy, nobody's happy!

Which fantasy RPG did you get that from?

he probably found the game in the garden of eden

On the subject of evolution, half of Britain doesn't accept it according to this poll. I've never felt more alienated from my countrymen.

That's better than in the U.S. I've seen polls say that about 60% don't accept evolution.

Live for yourself. Do things that make you and the people you care about happy. Believe in yourself, and the things you can control. Do good things not to please a "god", do good things because you can, and because it's the right thing to do. You don't need a religion for morals. Be strong enough to live through challenges without relying on someone/thing who isn't around. Religion only separates.
Be your own god.
Praise yourself, correct yourself, love yourself.
It's not that I don't believe in a "god". It's that I don't believe in a "god" we can comprehend and be able understand his motives. And if there is a "god" I don't think he would enjoy seeing us with wars over faiths'. Especially with the types of weapons that man can now manufacture. If this makes me a bad and evil person at-least I'm happy during my life, and that is all that matters, because it is all I can know and understand.

I've been raised in a Christian home at a Christian school. I was taught young earth creationism at school, and never even questioned it until about a year ago (currently a senior). I WANT to believe Christianity, but there are so many flaws. I've been taught over and over, that the Bible is completely flawless and should be taken literally, and if something in it is proven false it throws the whole thing into question. Well, it's been thrown into question, time and time again. Young earth creationism is absurd. All proof points towards the Big Bang theory and, to a lesser extent, evolution. Plus tons of contradictions within the Bible, questions about which books should and shouldn't be in the Bible, etc. In that sense, I don't think that, if you follow the facts, Christianity is where you'll end up. However, I'm not completely ruling out Christianity as true. As Christians, we're taught that a huge part of being a Christian is faith. We're also taught that God's thinking is above ours, and that we can't fully comprehend him. If this is the case, it could be conceivable that all these doubts raised about Christianity are simply there to require us to put faith in its truth. If all the facts pointed to Christianity, and we could know beyond a shadow of a doubt it was true, it wouldn't take faith, and therefore our belief in it would hardly merit the fruits of eternal life. Also, how did the Big Bang start? I'm currently reading "The Creator and the Cosmos," a book that lays out how recent scientific finding point towards a God, and specifically the God of the Bible. In the book, it basically lays out a very convincing case FOR the Big Bang theory (very tough to believe in young earth creationism or a steady-state, infinite universe after these proofs), and also apparently refutes the cycling universe model (the universe expands, then retracts, then expands, for infinite cycles). It seems that the universe is much too inefficient for this to be the case, and there's no mechanism for its retracting. It appears as if it will continue expanding at an increasingly large rate for as long as the universe exists. (By the way, this is all from a Christian perspective, and while it is carefully researched and footnoted I'm sure atheists would have something to say about his reasoning and proofs). All this said, I'm very confused about my faith right now. I'd still call myself a Christian but I'm leaning towards agnostic. I'm hoping that something in life will point me decidedly towards or away from God, so I can stop living in confusion.

Except for the fact that you'll be living your entire life in a state of denial.

Also, we can't choose what we believe in. Many people believe in religions like Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc. because the explanations of life appear to be the most convincing and mentally-sound to said person. Fundamentalist Christians, for example, see nothing surreal or illogical by an old man building an ark and stuffing billions of animals on it, or the (supposed) fact that Moses parted the Red Sea.

I can try as hard as I want to believe in God, but I simply cannot. What science has proven through logical experimentation has given me more than enough proof to believe that the universe can exist without an all-powerful God watching over it. I don't fill the gaps of undiscovered information with "God did it," because I know that, due to the complex, logistic nature of science, that we will always continue to discover more about the universe around us and how it all ticks.

I don't think it is really a waste. Many people waste so much. Movies, music, ect that is not wasting. How is that productive?

I cut a few minutes to worship god. Anyway prayer is shprt for me(Muslim) so it is not really a wate. Plus If it is not a lie I go to heaven. If it was then I rot in the ground. Anyway I save my eyesight by worshipping god and not looking at the televison screen for a couple of minutes.

I'm not sure if this is the case with Islam, but at least in Christianity, if all you're doing is worshipping God for a few minutes and then going back to the TV, I'd doubt that you're a true Christian.

But if you're wrong, you waste a life living "for God" (in essence, you've wasted 100% of everything given to you, i.e. life).

It's probably more than prayer though, no? Doesn't being religious mean adapting your whole way of life?

You've definitely got a misguided view of Christianity, then. The whole point of it is developing a relationship with God and living to glorify him.

Is religion the sourse if all conflict on earthkemar7856

The best way to go about proving or disproving that statement is to scour the conflicts of Earth. If you find one that doesn't start with religion, then your answer is "no."

Way I see it, for atheist, its lose-win, for me its win-win. If Im right, I go to heaven and them hell. If im wrong, we both go to sleep for ever and never know any better. Any way, I have faith in God, thats all that matters.ATT-Fighter

That is only if Christianity is right. If Hinduism is right, you're completely ****ed.

Pascal's Wager is epic fail.

Admittedly, Hinduism is probably more "right" than Christianity considering Shaivites ritually venerate human sexual reproduction as the source of life.

Hinduism or Hindu is a religion which is similar to Buddhism but practised in India. Hinduism is more about a culture than a religion because even Christian Indians practise it sometimes.
