Sorry, but I still can't see the hype about Muse. I'm not easily impressed. The music just doesn't sound different or original, I can hardly understand what the guy is saying, and I don't really like songs that are too long. Keep trying though.

We really dont have any other way of telling if a band is good or not besides sales. Unless there is some sacred device called "The Suckometer" that can say whether a band is good or not. I base my post of what I think.
And Wikipedia said Limp Biskit sold over 33 million copies worldwide. Now 33 million people can't be wrong either. Also... "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water was released on the 17th of October 2000, selling over a million copies in the US in its first week of release (a record for a rock album) and going on to sell almost 12 million worldwide."

Never try to prove a band is good by mainstream success...that generally means the opposite.;)
I knew someone would say that. And honestly, I dont care if people think they are good. They can think what they want, everyone has different opinions. But for all the people who say "they have no talent" or something like that, well Id like to see them do better.
Besides, there isnt really any way to judge how good a band actually is, so I used fact instead. Its really the only thing you can state that isnt an opinion.

If bands like Iron and Wine, Neutral Milk Hotel, Neko Case, the late Elliot Smith, and Wilco sold records Hell would freeze over, and Avril Levigne lyrics would fall from the sky and destroy all major cities. 24 million people may have bought the record, but the majority of them are tasteless ####wits.

Well, I know that I enjoy their music very much. Thats all that really matters to me. A song doesent have to be extremely complex or impossibly hard to play to be good. Alot of Gorillaz songs are extremely simple, as long as their good though, I dont know why it would matter.
