Okay, so another question.

what is the reason you want one? (i know i shouldn't be talking, i got piercings for no reason other than i thought it would look good, and they all do thankfully) i wouldn't reccomend a lip piercing unless you are getting either a vertival labret or centered. those are easier to adjust to and not so bad. you could also get both sides pierced that looks kind of cool, except it would be hard to eat and drink. i had problems with my vertical labret for the first week or so (it was swollen and hard to eat), then after that no problem. as long as you go to a clean place and the peopel know what they are doing, you take care of it and keep it clean, then you should have no problems. good luck in whatever you decide!

once it heals you can take it out for the interview. that is what i do. i take out my labret. i usually leave in my nose and industrial in though. (my hair covers my industrial so it isn't a big deal) piercings aren't as taboo as they used to be. (or maybe it is just the jobs i choose. *shrugs*)

I have a friend who, when drunk, pierced their lip with a safety pin. She earned tonnes of cool points for that. Looks hot on an emo lass but apart from that NO.

I always found that they looked better on guys, and terrible on girls, but meh.

Yea...I would have done just that but since I already have both my ears pierced in multiple places...and a tottoo in an exposed place, my parents are preventing me from doing it..something about college.
