That's what I'm saying, there are zillions of bands out there like Nile, a good few do it better than they do. Spawn of Possession, Anomalous, Necrophagist (although I don't like them much either, they do a better job than Nile), Unfortunately, most tech-death bands tend to have a bunch of abstract musical ideas that don't sound all that well brought together, and are additionally repetitive. Nile doesn't even achieve that. They play out like Cannibal Corpse, with the exception that their riffs are about three times harder to play with small hands and the songs are Egypt-centric.
PAIN, Kovenant, Silversun Pickups, Decapitated, Rapture. I'll leave the list short. Notes: Silversun and Decapitated are pretty popular and I mean the melodic death band Rapture..not the alt band.

You don't like Nile? Gah, I've been listening to Nile constantly over the last month or so, I love them! Great material for headbanging, drumming is ultra fast and awesome, and the rest of the band is great. Really love their Annihilation of the Wicked album.

Nile shows signs of greatness but in general, their CD's have too much filler(like most death). I also don't like their mixing. Are they on Nuclear Blast now or still on Relapse? Nuclear Blast usually has amazing mixing. I will say Nile has great drumming though. I thought Darkened Shrines was good.

it's hard to find really good bands (at least for me) that no one has heard...which is why they haven't really been heard. if they haven't been heard they will soon...or they're probably not that good. see, i've given myself a headache.
