Looking for advice from Macbook Pro owners.

When I go back to uni in September I'm looking at getting a Macbook pro but I'm clueless when it comes to Mac stuff. I'm currently doing a course that involves a lot of video and audio editing so the likes of Logic and Final Cut are very usefull. But I'm wondering which one is the best for me. Not sure on budget at the moment though.

the standard 15" is fine. if you like to do any photoshop and a big screen is a must, 17" is great. that's what i'm using now. and one more thing, if you're a student, buy it as a student, it takes off like $200. and if you can wait until summer, apple has back to school sales, where you buy a mac and get like a free ipod touch.RPG-er

Buying a Mac has probably been the best decision I've made. I'm a Film student and I use it every day for all my needs. Only bad thing is the lack of games, but you can always get Bootcamp on it.
