[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"][QUOTE="Sajedene"] I love how people equate Los Angeles to the rest of California. San Francisco, Sacramento, Bakersfield, San Diego, Orange, all completely different places. But if were talking about how California is everything ... being that it is the richest state (more rich than most countries in the world) and has practically everything (except water -- that is until we properly convert the ocean water to drinkable water) -- yeah I have legitimate bragging rights about my state and the city I live in. helium_flash
California, on the whole, is just awesome. Oh ya, and the rest of the world doesnt really consider us the US. I got to Europe, people are like "Are you American?" all surly and Im like "No, I am Californian" and theyre like "Oh, ok" all cheerful like lol.
Wow. And these people are trying to say that Californians aren't elitists.Haha, so true. I too am from California, and what can I say, and I don't know, guess you just pick up on "stateism". After three horrible years of living in rainy Washington, you come to appreciate California even more. What's not to like? Warm, large, variety of cites, beaches, mountains with snow, lakes, attractions, whatever you want. Whoops, I was being a Californian elitest. :P
Anyway, as far as L.A. goes, I just don't like the place. It's far too big, ugly, gray, and has traffic all the time. Something just doesn't do it for me. Some of the suburban areas are a little nicer, but a lot of L.A. doesn't appeal to me.
