Over the last month i lost 10 pounds...hehe im not advertising, but i just did it by like...not eating. What r ppl complaing about? Actually, my family's complaining that im Skinny now, so i have to gain weight now... and it wasnt that hard. I never thought of myself as having a high metabolism either.

I heard that you have a slow metabolism because of all the crap you eat. Ive lived off doritoes and hot pockets the past 10 years of my life, so i dont think my metabolism is THAT great....

Well i ate a granola bar everyd ay for lunch. And whatever my parents made me for dinner. which was ususally beef stew or Steak, cuz thats all my dad ever makes.

i have a slow metabolism for some reason, but i only eat once or twice a day. i'm not fat or anything but i can't lose wieght fast

My teacher said it doesnt, but ppl just blame it on genetics. a lot fat hawaiians (im not racist, but i live in hawaii) blame being fat on genetics. but im like "WTf?!" Hawaiians were very healthy people. I mean, they worked a lot in ancient hawaii, which isnt evenm that ancient. I mean like a few hundred years ago is when they started using tools from the main lands ...like guns n stuff..

I sit at the computer and Xbox all the time while drinking soda and eating pork rinds and I still remain bone thin. Maybe I'm one of the X-Men, or one of the new Heroes. It's a mystery.

Best thing I have heard is eat three solid meals a day (no hot pockets, I love em too) and do not eat snacks or anything in between the meals. Drink a lot of water too.

That too. I dont have a weight loss problem, everyone in my family has un unusually fast metabolism. I can lose 5kg's in a week if I want.

You know what happens when you stop eating? Your muscles break down. That is why you are losing weight. If all you are doing is starving yourself, your an idiot. You need to exercise to burn calories but you still need to eat a balanced diet.

The best way to lose wieght is to eat right(healthy, and in good moderation) and also to do 60mins of low to moderate exercise every day (which can be broken up into 20min sessions throught the day). Trust me I know I got a 50/50 in PE lasts years exam.

He's right, I used to be chubbers. I just ate less. Result. People don't have any willpower! Quitting smoking is easy too, people are just pushovers.

if ur eating a lot less without exercise ur mostly losing muscle mass and water? its damn near impossible to loss 10 pounds of fat in a weak. and still hard to lose it in a month? look at wrestlers who drop 10 pounds in a couple of days, then when they fight they gas because they r dehydrated.

Yeah, follow this simple formula, eat less and move more. Do the reverse to gain weight. People that say they cant or its genetic are full of it, i ask you, where are all the genetically fat people in the starving 3rd world countries, oh wait, there arent any, nuff said. Stop eating fatty!

Im a firm believer that your metabolism is what you make it to a degree, the more active you are the more necessary it is your body burns energy and so it speeds up, its just a case of getting of your ass and not over eating. When im at work i can have 4 meals a day with 2 or 3 of them being full large meals, when im not working i can happily live of a couple of sandwiches a day without ever feeling hungry. Self contol is all you need.

Yep,when you lose weight by not eating you basically just use water weight, which you gain back pretty fast once you start eating normal again, it's also not very good for your metabolism. The best way to lose weight is to eat 3 healthy meals a day, work out for atleast a half hour every other day and try to be active when not working out. You shouldn't lose more than 5 lbs or so a week because you're not supposed to lose more weight faster than you can put it on, it throws the body off

sorry buddy i'm not lazy when i'm not here post on gs, i'm usually at a gym or sleeping, as a matter of fact i played basketball yesterday for 9 hours before taking a break, i played so much, it hurts to walk. I play basketball daily about 3-4 hours a day. and i only eat once or twice a day, if you read my post on the first few pages

yeah i went through a heavy drinking period that brought me to 200lbs and it only took me a month to lose 30 i ran a lot and ate nothing but vegetables and bread stuck to water too (that was the hardest part for me)

Who said anything about you being lazy, sorry if you got that impression, i was generalising. I know plenty of people who complain about being fat, then they dont excercise and order a family meal for one at KFC, and the thing that makes me really laugh is that they then order diet coke. These are the people i speak of.

Have fun gaining all the weight back when you start eating again.

The proper method to weight loss is healthy, balanced diet, with consumption of less calories than used and proper exercise, including both muscular and cardiovascular exercises.

I lost 6 pounds over the past couple of weeks from increasing my exercise regime. I wouldn't advise not eating.

I can only eat one normal sized meal a day. If I eat more then then I'll vomit. I also can't eat anything in the morning. I'm about 15 pounds (or more) overweight only because I get nearly no exercise at all, Most of the stuff I do eat is very unhealthy, And in the past I have eaten out of bordom.

I'm a little bit overweight (not obese) and I think it's because I drink too much. I'm active at work and I (usually) don't eat a lot, most of my excess weight is probably from drinking.

I don't even keep cookies and chips in my home, because it's way too easy to eat too many of them. I might be in the mood for a few potato chips, and before I know it I've eaten half the bag.
