Whywouldn't the stoner bring snacks?

comp_atkins

Maybe you already ate them all before the truck broke down?

how far away is help? did the truck break down or run out of fuel? if it ran out of fuel then the obvious question is why drive a truck to no fuel thus stranding yourself. if it did not run out of fuel then there's the probability that you're not "THAT" stranded that you could not walk to where you needed to get in a week or two and not have to eat anyone..

No, you're not out of fuel. Your stupid friend's truck decided to break down in the middle of a desert.

I heard it from experts on canabalism, if you are going to eat someone, you got to do it before they are catabolic. By the time they die of starvation there are not much nutrients left.

VisigothSaxon

So they ate people to test this?

No, but I am sure they did tests to see what someone who has died of starvation is like, nutrient and protein wise, and if this could sustain a human.

So, they starved a person/animal to death?

I don't know, "people have accidents everyday, what makes you think its murder?" I will give a cookie to whoever knows what movie that line is from.

are you on a road? were you simply driving through the desert to get somewhere else or was the desert your destination? what sort of supplies are in the truck? if not on a road, how far from a road had you ventured? i need way more details on the perils of my situation before i start gutting people around me and feasting on thier innards.

What the others didn't know is that I sabotaged the truck so I could stalk them and eat them, one by one. That, or I'd just survive on the flesh of snakes and lizards.

I would obviously go upstream looking for the source of the water. You can survive several days on water alone, so I would just consume the water as I go along. I would not eat anyone. Mostly because there is no sure sign that help would come along by the time their body rotted enough to become uneatable. If I do follow the water, I have a better chance of survival because there could be vegetation around the source, most likely a lake or pond. This would allow everyone to feed and no one to die. From there I would look for nearby objects to fashion into a gigantic help sign (most likely tree branches and stones). Then at night or close to then I would light it on fire, as well as the fire-pit I constructed for me and my friends. On the pit, I would roast up some veggies and creepy crawlies. Depending on the time of year and environment, I would probably construct a shelter as well. I also forgot to mention that I would take whatever I could from the truck that I could use in aiding my survival (which means tearing the truck apart). Hopefully I could find something to boil water in, to help kill parasites. The last thing you want is to get poisoned by something in the water.

If I do follow TC's rules and am forced to eat someone, it really wouldn't make sense to. Mostly because if I kill them day 1, their meat will have spoiled by day 2. You have to pretty much refrigerate meat immediately because after the first few hours, it's done with. So basically, killing them would yield me a couple more hours of life, but for what? Honestly? I killed my friend for a couple more hours of life? Even if you got the meat to cook, it will still be spoiled by day 2 because of the hot desert heat. You will be eating death.
