Yeah, Paulo and Nikki were horrible. At least the writers realized it after a few episodes and killed them off...and I liked how they basically had the most embarrassing deaths imaginable.

I don't think they should have gotten their own episode though, I really couldn't care less about their flashbacks. I think what annoys me the most about Expose (the episode you're talking about) is how season 3 was finally beginning to have great episode after great episode and then the momentum just came to a screeching halt with the filler episode that is Expose.

After watching "The Incident" again, I believe it was all about Juliet. She's the only one who has no contact with neither Jacob or MIB (odd/important). So in a way, they have no plan for her in their game. That's why she is the one who can change it all and make it end as Jacob is talking about.

Here's my theory about Juliet
[spoiler] So my theory is that all the characters in Lost are a constant. No matter how many times you'll play it over, they will do what they have always done including their free will to make a choice, They'll always choose the same path (destiny), except for Juliet who is the variable. In this episode, she's the one that's making the decisions. To get off the island, to go back, to stop Jack and then to help Jack. The last decision leads to her getting dragged into the hole and detonating the bomb.

It's only Juliet who could have done this because if the people of Oceanic Flight 815 did it, it would create a timeparadox. They can't be the cause of the incident because they are a result of the incident, They can't change something that had an impact on getting to that point in the first place. That's why I believe the bomb didn't detonate when Jack dropped it down the shaft. Juliet came a different way, so what way you'd play it, she would have been there to cause the incident or to prevent it.

Lindelof has stated, "Juliet basically birthed season 6 by the actions that she takes in the final seconds of season 5. She is completely responsible for the endgame of the show. So the character is going to be seen in a slightly different light this year. We gave her that action for a reason, and that's because she's so important to the fabric of the story." [/spoiler]

Of course I could be completely wrong. Definitely won't be the first time when it comes to LOST.

I watched the first hour of the premiere. Let me just say it was the most epic thing I have ever seen on television (and in my life :P). I am even more excited for Tuesday now!

I'm so excited for this. I watched all of Season 5 over the weekend to get ready. It really is the finest show on TV. I used to really geek out trying to figure out what exactly was going to happen, and I'd go hunting for spoilers. At this point, I'm fairly sure the show is going to finish strong, so I'm fine with sitting back and waiting patiently for each episode.rragnaar

Juliet's father and mother tell her and Rachel they have to talk about something important. Juliet thinks they are going to tell them they have to move again, but Rachel is upset and tells Juliet their parents are getting a divorce. They say they love each other but they are just not meant to be together. Juliet is enraged and runs off, refusing their offers to help her cope with the situations. She cannot understand how two people can love each other but not stay together. Her mother tells her she will understand when she is older, but Juliet shouts that she does not want to understand

The scene was essentially a red herring
