Whoa you are all over the place. We were talking about nature... natural, remember?

savinger

Uh huh.. you're telling me that it's unnatural because they can't reproduce and I'm telling you that it's not their goal to reproduce. Learn how to properly analyze a statement.

Im simply pointing out that naturally, nature is set up in favor of the heterosexual.

Ahh but again, their goal isn't to reproduce, and they can have children if they really want to. A female homosexual can have sperm injected in her by her doctor and she can produce a new human being.

Haha, I'm leaving this thread. The fact that some of you can honestly argue the position that nature doesn't favor the heterosexual is mind-boggling.

Agreed. This isn't even arguable. Reproduction is pretty much life's purpose.

Homosexuality is one thing, but lets not open the can of worms regaurding children shall we? As far as i've read, have two of the same gender raise a child has negative psychological effects. It's similiar to a single parent raising a kid. The child only gets information, lessons, feedback from one gender, when children actually need 2 parents 1 of each gender raising them. There are several studies on the matter, if i feel like it, i might google it or quote a textbook later.

But it's not about what they're *GOAL* is. What he's saying is, being attracted to the same sex is going against nature. You are tossing out that programming. So either humans are starting to get confused psychologically or we have a hormonal imbalance problem that people refuse to fix simply because of PC. Soon we'll shut down Insane Asylum's because it's "Okay to be crazy".

Yes, it is about their goal, and yes it is natural because nature allows for it. All animals follow their chemicals, and that includes you and me, and homosexuals. Being unnatural is something along the lines of a miracle.

I never said using other technologies was unnatural. Point that out if I did. I said that if you somehow flew, as in began to flap your arms and you somehow lifted off the ground like a bird, then that would be unnatural because physics as we know them do not allow for that to happen on Earth. THAT would be going against nature.

The only reason we *want* to have sex is for the purpose of reproduction. We have merely used our intelligence to usurp that urge and dominate it with birth control. We can now give in to that urge without actually having children.

I find it ironic that all these heterosexuals feel that they are the authority on another's sexuality. The ignorance in this thread is depressing.

No one would rightly choose to be gay especially with the amount of people in this thread alone saying it's 'wrong' and 'unnatural'. People are born gay There's evidence to suggest it's genetic. Numerous homosexuals have said that they always knew they were different before they realised their sexuality. The only "choice" is whether to pursue the lifestyle or not.

You do know that people have tried anti-conceptive methods long before last century, right? So basically, sex has been "usurped" for centuries.

And if you think the only reason humans want to have sex is to reproduce, then you are very wrong.

Many animals are homosexual... (including, some that are close to humans...)

This too can be the result of hormonal imbalance. Everyone knows though that all animals, humans included, are genetically programmed to be attracted and drawn to the opposite sex. It is a necessary genetic componant for survival.

There you go link. As you can see, yes, i did make a post on it.

Honestly? I can't believe I'm still here debating against such illogical arguments. What is natural for some species by no means makes it natural for others. If you experience the urge to eat another human, please, seek help.

 The only thing you're doing is saying that my argument is illogical then avoiding it. Either you prove it's not natural or you admit that homosexuality as well as cannibalism are natural. Everything man does is natural. Man has never broken the laws of nature. I dare you to find one single case of man breaking apart from nature. Do it.

I think we have different definitions of nature. According to you, if i have sex with a 2 year old, eat my father, crap in my child's crib, and mate with a penguin, it's still all natural. It's not worth arguing with you. I'm going to bed all, i'll try and catch up later.

Yes, it is. It may not be morally right but its still natural. Humans can't break the laws of logic and nature-so I could not fly, but I could be gay even if it puts me at a disadvantage.

And again, prove that it isn't natural. All you're doing is proving that most people agree that it's not cool, but that doesn't make it unnatural. And producing an offspring with a penguin would be unnatural because as far as we know, it's impossible for humans and penguins to produce an offspring.. or maybe we'd just produce an infertile offspring? Hmm.. who knows. What you meant to say is having sex with an animal, and again.. 100% natural, but most would not consider it to be a cool thing to do. ;)

un·nat·u·ral
1.contrary to the laws or course of nature.
2.at variance with the character or nature of a person, animal, or plant.

In our genetics, we are programmed to have urges for sex with the opposite gender. We are *not* programmed to have sex with the same gender. Nature intends we have sex with the opposite gender, through evolution it has become necessary to have sex with the opposite gender to reproduce, and thus we have formed genetic instincts to have sex with the opposite gender. Doing otherwise is against the course of nature. Natural genetic programming isnt what's telling you to have sex with the same sex, so it's not natural. It could be a chemical imbalance, it could be a sociological disorder due to current society, there are many possibilities, but it is not natural. I really dont think it's going to be possible to argue with you.

For the most part, homosexual individuals cannot choose whether or not they want to be because deep down inside they like the same gender.

And you know what, I think I have to agree that while homosexuality may APPEAR unnatural, it really is. Think about it, billions of people on the planet, not enough food to feed them, and the population continues to rise. Well, what is to stop those who don't have children? Unlike in the wild there is no longer a need to reproduce, because modern society makes it possible to survive without them. So in a way, Homosexuality is sort of a logical step, at least for now. And they should be allowed to adopt, most certianly. There are so many children in orphanages and such that need help. And while there may be some minor effects of being raised by a same sex couple, I think the tolerance and open-mindedness that comes with it far outweighs the cons

[QUOTE="DeeJayInphinity"]Homosexuality is just as natural as anything else man has ever done and will ever do. It's as natural as love, as natural as our hands, legs, and skeletal system.. it's just nature.
Having said that, I have no problem with what they're doing.savinger

Absolutely Ridiculous. "Natural?" If we are talking nature here, I would point you in the direction of a biology book. Reproduction seems pretty natural to me.

Sexual attraction seems pretty natural to me.

And since when is being "Natural" good? It was natural for a plantation owner to buy slaves from Africa a long time ago, did that make it any more justified? Group mentality only results in emotional and mental retardation, the hunter gatherer days are over and we have to accept that we have pretty much defied evolution, Nature can no longer save us, only we can.

1: We live in a natural world 2: In this natural world, we can do certain things, and cannot do other things-example: we can walk, but we cannot fly 3: If nature did not want us to have homosexual relations, then we would not. Simple as that. Just because homosexual people can't have children doesn't make them unnatural. People have an urge to have sex (they have an urge to reproduce.) Even if it's sex with the same gender, its still sex.
