I'm not trying to offend you, or anyone else that feels the same way you do, but I honestly don't see what would make a PC hard to use, if you can read, understand the concept of buttons, mouse cursors and other GUI components then I don't know how you can go wrong, a lot of effort goes into making Windows user friendly and I think they've done a good job at making it easy enough for anyone to use.Mac.... I used to use windows PCs, then I bought a Mac and unless something goes terribly wrong with Apple, I won't be going back to Windows PCs. Macs are so much better and so much easier to use than windows PCs.

Those HDD prices literally made me laugh! Some truly ridiculous prices there...I believe it is mandatory that I post this.

Edit: Just recently I bought two 1T Western Digital Caviar Blacks and altogether the cost me NZ$280, including shipping and everything. Apple wants you to pay $550 for 2T's, and I bet that's in American Currency making it even worse.

It is indeed. Apple may have a brand and may produce good computers and such but I don't see what people see in their products to justify paying so much. Perhaps they are just a symbol of status? Those HDD prices literally made me laugh! Probably, it's a bit like fashion really, you could have two identical clothing items, and just by sticking a brand name on one of them will instantly double/quadruple its price tag. The price for that RAID card is humorous as well, I couldn't imagine why any Mac user would need such an expensive RAID card. My fairly high ranged motherboard that cost around $400 came with two different RAID controllers, and I bet they perform just as well as that RAID card does... The only time I would understand someone spending that much on a RAID card would be when they're installing it in a server or something to that extent.Hi there, I'm a PC, and I have two operating systems installed, because I canOverlord93Let's be fair here. Normally I would say PC especially since you don't inted to be doing anything specialized, but since you already have a mac I'd just say stick with it. Next time you want a new laptop though pick up a pc.
That can be applied to just about every thread on GS.How many of these things are there? Everybody has their own opinion so stop asking people!

I never understand the people who recommend that somebody buys a mac for basic computer stuff. I mean you would be fine buying some $400 laptop and it would do just as well, and cost less than half the price. But OT I don't understand why you're asking this, because you said you already have a macbook pro.
