I think macs are better because after i got a vista the keyboard sucked and had to replace the battery every two days.
Microsoft XP is okay, but i think macs have that sleek look and are easier to use.

Mac. Sure, they may cost more, but it's worth it, cause it a lot easier to use, and it does everything I need to do, and it's fast.
That's because it has a small install base. You'll get viruses etc if the install base grows.I did not mention that there are viruses on PC's. Never heard of one on the Mac.

PC. Alot of the games on the PC aren't available on the Mac. I think you should put up a poll as well.
PC mainly because it is a lot cheaper but also due to the ease in upgrading components and adding software and hardware.

So you're basing your experience with Window, because of a 3rd party keyboard running out of batteries? Yup, there's the logic shining through >_>
Besides, you do realize that Mac = PC? They are the same components just custom made. Plus I prefer building my own PC's and I can easily install OS X from osx86 project along with windows. Therefore I save 1400$ on a comprable or equal performing PC machine.
Plus watch out for Windows 7, right now, IT people are like kids in a candy store. They want it badly because of all the right things they are doing. Windows 7 even run's on older hardware now.
That's because it has a small install base. You'll get viruses etc if the install base grows. Ya I hate it when macpeeps always use that as a purpose. It is a true fact, that Apple actually posted on their own blog, to isntall Anti-Virus software on Mac OS X, despite the advertising and keynote presentations that Mac's don't have to worry about viruses....[QUOTE="Jlao1"]

Even if the fact that "it is old", still doesn't prove that Mac's are invulnerable to viruses. Mac's are vulnerable to viruses, when virus makers see a larger user base from apple. And there have been a few viruses getting out there too... Believe it or not, Mac's are more vulnerable to this BS then PC's. Microsoft has been building it's OS around actual experience with actual protection then basing their technology off of speculation [mac].
There are a few for Mac, but because less people have firewalls they have more effect. Apple has a huge marketing division who's job is to keep this sorta stuff quiteI did not mention that there are viruses on PC's. Never heard of one on the Mac.

If you're having speed issues then the usual reasons is you've been filling it with crap and the only reason macs don't have this issue is because there's less compatible crap to fill it withMac. Sure, they may cost more, but it's worth it, cause it a lot easier to use, and it does everything I need to do, and it's fast.
XDXDXDXDXDXDXD
Then why does this exist. :|I did not mention that there are viruses on PC's. Never heard of one on the Mac.

Which is obviously to do with Vista, TBH most laptop keyboards suck and all batteries gradually lose they're charging capacity and eventually dieafter i got a vista the keyboard sucked and had to replace the battery every two days.

Also considering if/when your Mac breaks. You're gonna have to bend over backwards and jump through flaming hoops to get it fixed.Infinite-Zr0Yeah, but that's where the ease of use thing comes in - you don't need to fix Macs. You just throw it away and buy a new one.

Although I hate calling it a PC because they are all personal computers, for the sake of the argument I'll use the term PC. I much prefer PCs. I think that the Windows operating systems are, overall, vastly superior, more powerful, easier to use, and much cheaper...so you get more "bang for your buck," to use a lame cliche.
I hate Macs. I've used Macs many, many times over the years. I've used all sorts of them. I used them as a kid in elementary school, and I've used them as a young adult now. I don't like the operating system at all. It's very inconvenient. I think that Macs are ridiculously overpriced, and in my opinion, you're not getting what you pay for. I don't even think that Macs are all that "sexy" or "attractive" either. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 in spring green, and I think it's far cuter than any Macs out there right now.
Basically, with a PC...you get more than what you pay for. You get a powerful, easy to use, high quality machine. With a Mac, you pay for the brand name and that's about it...and I'm not even impressed with the brand name. ;)
PC. I like the style of the MACs, but you can do more with the PC, and better pricing on PCs than MACs.
[QUOTE="AirGuitarist87"][QUOTE="WhiteSnake5000"]Yeah, which has nothing to do with Vista. WhiteSnake5000I know, but if it was a laptop's battery running out you can at least try the (wrong) argument that Vista isn't optimised and uses unnecessary amount of energy for everything. None of this argument really makes sense anymore. :P It's come to the point with both Mac & Windows that it's really down to personal preference rather than a case of necessity.Yeah, but no one's forcing you to go with Vista when it comes to PCs, you have many Linux Based operating systems to choose from, not to mention Windows XP. And project OS X 86... which is proof that you don't need mac hardware. One thing that mac users are failing to realize is that the reason why Mac's run well with OS X, is because it's dedicated hardware for the OS X system. You don't have to worry about driver compatibility with the latest and greatest hardware that comes out on the market. Each hardware component has an Apple bios chip to where only those cards and crap will work with apple "LOGIC BOARDS" (aka the standard term that all real computer users use, motherboard  ). Apple picks the hardware they want you to use... not vice versa.
Windows has to build a system that can be customized to work with all sorts of components. If Apple released their OS X to the public, they lose more money because they have such a low market share that selling just the OS will cause them to lose more money then they are now. Their hardware sales is what makes up the profit needed to stay afloat. Hence the constant revealing of new products every 1.5 years and the 50% profit margin compared to other brand computers.
If you take OS X and put it on a seperate system, you will get an equal amount of crashes as Windows. OS X 86 project proves this, because with all the other hardware out on the market combined with OS X, will not work or OS X will crash consistently. However with the 86 project, it does work with some hardware and with the community constantly coming out with custom drivers, OS X 86 actually works better then actual apple certified hardware. Go figure...
i got a vista the keyboard sucked and had to replace the battery every two days.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about or doing at all? :? You got a Vista and the keyboard battery died? lolwut?
Anyway I'll go with PC because I can choose among many OS, and the hardware is cheaper, better, and customizable.

When I switched my laptop to XP, searching for the specific drivers took the best part of an afternoon and I'm pretty tech-savvy. I'm hoping to get a MacBook one day and the whole "it works" thing is one of the key selling points. Yeah, I can't do XYZ yadda-yadda-yadda but I honestly think the whole "Apple sucks" thing is blown way out of proportion.
