I heard that Macs are better for graphic diesgn. Does anyone have any idea why people have this idea? I don't want any Mac haters posting here. It's fine if you prefer PCs (as I kinda do) but Macs really are pretty good computers....they just aren't good for games and they aremore expensive and never go on sale....

Mac's are great computers but regarding the Mac vs PC war, I think it's just going on simply because Mac boasts about everything a PC can frikin do, and then they say 'but we look nicer and it's easier to make movies'

Regrding this, I've actually never heard that, but I've taken a photography class in college, and we had Macs in the lab, and just crappy old PC's in our classroom, but I noticed hardly any difference when I was using photoshop on either one.

Although, I was watching the show "How it's Made" and they showed 'animation', and the guys were using macs, it never said why, I just think it's a coincidence.

I use both PC's and Macs for graphical work. Both of them are very capable but I prefer the Mac because it is faster and the UI is much more intuitive.

It's true, Macs are better for Graphic Design for the fact that its a lot faster. There's a reason Mac's are more expensive. i use a PC and I'm majoring in Graphic Design and I learned that you got to learn how to use both.

No it's not programs because the most famous programs are the Adobe Creative Suite and that's available for both Macs and PC but it's the speed. Mac's are a lot faster and can work with larger files faster than PC. They can load movies faster...

Not sure, but I use a PC because its cheaper when it comes to Lightwave 3-D and I still get great render times.

It's more intuitive on a Mac, but if you know what you're doing you can do it with relative ease on a Mac or a PC.

Mac's are as good as PCs when it comes to graphic design. There are a few exclusive programs on both platforms so it comes down to personal preference

Mac laptops are great by any standard and they run Windows.... so, you're kind of getting the best of both worlds if you buy one (they are pricey though).

Yeah, that was my understanding too. I'm not anti-Mac by any means. i'm sure the price is good too for what you get, but it never goes on clearance like PCs do...

UI = User Interface... how the screen looks. Intuitive meaning easier to use.
