Full Story - http://sandrarose.com/2011/06/man-drops-cinderblock-on-newborn-because-he-couldnt-afford-to-keep-her/Summary - Man from northern Pennsylvania couldn't afford to keep his newborn baby. His wife ended up having her baby in her car in the parking lot of a super market and the husband told her that he would "take care of it". He ended up taking the baby to his job and killing it by dropping a cinder block on its head. I noticed the thread about capital punishment and i found this story. Seems like a good reason to have it for people like this. An eye for an eye perhaps, or even something worse for this sicko.chicknfeethow prudent of him/them
It pissed me off that the idea would even come into someone's mindPeople make me sick somtimes.

Fitzpatrick and Barrise already had a 1-year-old boy together. She reportedly had 5 other children by different men.Article
WTF? Seriously, WTF? Has she never heard of contraception? What the hell??
I'm not sure about capital punishment but I think in cases like these they should definitely consider mandatory sterilisation.
or they should have had it aborted then this would have been legal and fewer would have been pissed, but it would have cost more, random heavy rocks are dirt cheapPeople just don't think. If he didnt want the child there are better options than killing it.

I really don't understand this mentality. The woman got pregnant, went full term, went through labor which I'm sure is excruciating. Why go through all that just to kill the baby? She already did all of the 'hard stuff,' so why not just drop off the baby at a police station or a hospital or a church or even literally on someone's doorstep? I can't imagine the thought process behind these actions.
An eye for an eye perhapschicknfeetTie him up in a car park with a sign saying what he did and a pile of bricks. I'm sure the public would see that he got his.
Literally just leaving it there on the gravel in the supermarket car park would have been 100x better. Is he severely uneducated or actually evil? I can't decide. Don't know how he came to that conclusion and how he could go through with it.I really don't understand this mentality. Yes that's basically the assumption I've come to also. I guess that in his mind a baby doesn't equal a person or something. Like people who drown puppies.
Only this would have been messier I imagine.

Honestly, i'm not big on killing people...just because i don't like killing. But perhaps some torture deal to permanently scar this guy for life would be in order.I'm not sure about capital punishment but I think in cases like these they should definitely consider mandatory sterilisation.

Maybe she hid the fact that she was pregnant for 9 months and he only found out once she went into labor?I really don't understand this mentality. Bartender, 200 bottles of beer please. I'm going to need it to get through the day without giving up on humanity. mrmusicman247In a general sense we can decry humanity....but in a specific sense there are very good people in the world.
Don't they already have safe shelter laws where people can drop unwanted babies at hospitals, fire stations or other places like that, how hard is it to drop off the baby there, especially since you can do it anonymously.

This is why I won't feel bad if the Earth gets hit by an asteroid and wipes out humanity.
People who are criminally stupid make me wonder if we should just delete everything and start all over again with single-celled organisms swimming around in the ocean.
Maybe Darwinism can kick in earlier and this stuff will be wiped away before we crawl out of the ocean this time around.

That is incredibly disturbing.
How could this possibly be the logical option? Jesus-*******-Christ, put the child up for adoption. This guy has no right to live.
Why wouldn't he just put the child up for adoption? Pretty sad.chrisrooR
He didn't even have to do that - all he had to do was take it to a hospital and give it to the receptionist.
It's called the "Safe Haven Law".
No hospital can refuse to accept an abandoned baby.
am I the only one who thinks that this is being a bit blown out of proportion?
its horrible, dont get me wrong, but its nothing more than a really really really late abortion. I wouldnt call it murder
[QUOTE="mrbojangles25"] I wouldnt call it murderDavidianMH
This is quite clearly murder. How can you not see that?
While I agree it's murder, he does have a point that the reasons people give for abortion being alright, could be applied to this situation as well. He isn't being totally ludicrous.

I'm not pro choice, but that baby was a human being, just like any of us. He took the life of a born human being, therefore, its murder.[QUOTE="DavidianMH"]

i hinted at that not too subtlely, but that is not a stance i want to argue for. Please Log In to post.
