True words my brother, this brave soul will be eternally remembered for this glorious act."I've been practicing hard," said Chestnut in an interview with ESPN after the contest. "After the second minute, I knew that my body was cooperating."
Saviour of the day.

That guy was on "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" the other day. Espn reports this like it is a sport or something.
Kobayashi will probably never win the title again. Joey Chestnut is here to make sure the belt belongs to America.
Yea this was crazy. I do give them credit as its something thats very hard. I think I'd be able to eat quite a few(10? lol) if I only had to eat the dog without the bread, but honestly I have no idea where they fit these hotdogs. Also my girl friend was at the even by accident actually, because she was heading to the beach and saw the event.
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]Yeah once they get to around 10 or so they all start spray barf through their teeth and stuff while they're going forward. You watch this? I've seem a few years of them. I don't watch it anymore. Too disgusting.[QUOTE="horgen123"]I tend to stop after 2-3... How he can do 68 is beyond me. horgen123
I never understood why people bother to do things like this.LonelynightWell competitive eaters do earn prize money.
[QUOTE="CommanderShiro"]I wouldn't count him out just yet. He led Chestnut for a pretty good amount of time. Though I'd still take Chestnut 7/10 times. You two actually follow hot dog eating competitions?Kobayashi will probably never win the title again. Joey Chestnut is here to make sure the belt belongs to America.

Some of them make GOOD money. Kobyashia makes $150,000 a year. They get sponsors and stuff just like "professional" athletes. They train and it's not an easy "sport". Almost all the great eaters are in amazing shape also.
