Man of Steel official speculation/discussion thread (new trailer)

It'll make hundreds of millions of dollars. DC fans will demand a JL film of equal quality. If Nolan is really overseeing the DC film verse, then I'll hold my skepticism's at bay for the time being. I think MoS will be a damn sight better than Returns. From this latest trailer, it's already topped it.  Hope DC puts up a good fight with Marvel on the silver screen, but it might be tough with Phase 2 looking to be stellar. Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be real sweet.

Not feeling it, I can appreciate the production value and effort, but something seems off. They're trying to go for that Nolan's Batman tone and I don't think it'll work well with Superman. Oh, and the suit texture is kinda ugly.

The trailer that just came out finally got me more interested in the movie.

Why the f*ck does everyone hate long movies?  There are plenty of short, shallow movies to watch, but very few long ones.

I appreciate them when they do come along instead of b*tching.

I'm anxious to see it. I do have a soft spot for Superman and do admire his humanity especially in the comics, movies (the animated movies), and even the TV series. He's basically the most idealistic superhero with an ideal moral code.
