And what was the point of that? If people don't agree with the checkpoint they should complain to their Congressman. Refusing to obey the people at the checkpoint who are only following orders just to prove a point is just wasting their time as well as the time of the people waiting behind you since they're not the ones with the power to change the policy.
He won't be the last. Internal checkpoints are nothing but an overreaction. An unnecessary arm of our law enforcement.
Punishing civilians while trying to find illegals. There are much better ways of doing that that don't impose themselves on everybody.

The fact that he was recording these stops shows he has an ulterior motive. I think he purposely went out there to do try and stir it up. While I-8 may not intersect the border, that does not mean it isn't a main thoroughfare for illegal immmigrants to travese the country. Idiot.
pfff...that doesn't make it a police state, honestly I bet half the people who claim we have a police state don't even know the definition of it:roll:

Don't like those either.
Internal checkpoints in my country doesn't sit will with me, no matter what they are for. Sobriety checkpoints are a waste of time too. They don't even bother with them where I live because everybody can easily get around them.
These boards seem to suggest that americans are'nt nearly attached to their freedom as they like to claim.

Officers do, in fact, have the right (and responsibility) to not follow unlawful orders (such as to arrest the movement of a man without reasonable ssuspicion a crime has been committed and detain a man without probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed.)[QUOTE="ad1x2"]

So, what's unlawful about checkpoints on the road, again? Besides, driving is a privilege, not a right. Even if he didn't agree with the law he was inconveniencing somebody who had nothing to do with it's passing and had just as little power to change it as he did.
