[QUOTE="LikeHaterade"]

[QUOTE="xaos"] Seconded :x Yay Hulk v. Thorblack_cat19

Hulk vs Thor was great. I liked it more than Hulk vs Wolverine, but still enjoyed it as well. If they were anime, I know I wouldn't have liked them near as much as I do now. Did you like Hulk vs Wolverine also?

Just for the fact that it's anime? Whatever happened to judging something based on it's actual quality rather than based on whether you like the medium or not? :?

It's not a medium, it's a genre. Just as I don't have to watch a weepy chick flick to know that it's not appealing to me, I don't have to watch anime-raped Wolverine to know that it's not going to be my speed.

I did like both; I was just excited to see a rendition of Thor since he hasn't shown up as often as Logan, and I have quite a place in my heart for the big Norse lug..xaos

Yea, I certainly haven't seen enough of Thor. I always considered him a bit of a narcissist, but then again he is a God. I think it's so awesome when he refers to himself in 3rd person. I would LOVE to see a movie similiar to the "Hulk VS" featuring Beta Ray Bill. How cool would that be?

First thing anime didn't rape Wolverine, it was raped anyways, second the crappy devs messed what you had up. Plus, it's not a genre, it's a medium.

Precisely. Very well said. I don't mean any disrespect towards anime. It's just not my can of worms.

Yandere

You could say that it did. Anime inspired the terrible change in direction to take Wolverine. Anime is a visual medium, but is also considered a genre to many.

It could be called a genre of animation(?), but I rather call the genres IN anime genres, not the medium as a whole. I also rather say the devs ruined Wolverine, they obviously are failing at trying to get a Japanese audience and not aiming to the original audience.. I don't think the poor character design/ideas were because the medium as a whole though.

Looking at Wolverine again, I feel that his ninja-like skills should of been used for Spider-Man.

Eh, I've always wanted a more adult-themed marvel cartoon, but this just looks like Marvel meets cheesy anime like Gundam Wing. I'd rather they make the action a little more realistic, maybe something closer to what DC has been doing with their recent cartoons like Justice Leage and Superman Doomsday.

Wolverines not some long haired graceful dude fighting samurais. He's a brute with fierce attacks and in te trailer I did not hear him call anyone "bub" at least once. That is not the Wolverine I've known and loved.

[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]Amazing.. I despised the recent cartoons like Wolverine VS Hulk because they were so damned primitive.. While the "anime" version looks far more realistic and detailed.. Lets face it, american animation when it comes to non cgi is behind most of the times.. Drawing charactures rather than anything remotely close to being a true interpretation to realism imo.LikeHaterade

Say what? I enjoyed the Hulk VS very much. Beats the hell out of this anime shenanigans IMO.

If you say so, Marvel cartoons imo have been painful to watch because they havn't advanced in artwork when it comes to detail and realistic looking characters.. They are stuck back in the 90s and 80s, where characters are entirely too cartoony.. That being said what they have done with Wolverine is criminal and I certainly hope Stan Lee will not allow this butchering of one of Marvel's most beloved characters.. Ironman on the other hand looked great, he actually looked like Iron man and the animation was top notch.. Yet again look at the Batman Anime that was released before The Dark Knight.. Thats the kind of artistic value they should via for.. It not only had the amazing animation renowned in the best anime, but it kept to the setting and character designs that was western.. Batman actually looked like Batman.. Wolverine I full heartly agree looks nothing like him..

I'd take artwork like that any day over this...

Which both Marvel and DC comic cartoons both movie and series has looked like for decades.

I feel people are forgetting one thing:

If you haven't read the article, this anime interpretation of Iron Man and Wolverine belong in a parallel universe of Marvel. And as of now, we don't know much about these two (and the other two) in terms of characters, story, etc. Like all Anime/Manga, these will be intended for the Japanese Audience.

Logan to uscould be (insert typical japanese male name here)over there and his story chances are won't be one the western audience we know. Instead of the big, scruffy hero we know. He's now turned into a pretty boy ninja/master of blades.

Same goes for Tony Stark, chances are he will be a Japanese person with a different story.

The heroes are still there, we're just going to get a different story being told.

The point being is they could give Wolverine/Logan a different name and we wouldn't know the difference.. Wolverine LOOKS NOTHING like him.. Ironman at least has some similarity with his suit to which we can instantly recognize it. We can not see any similarities with this Wolverine what so ever, I can't even call him Wolverine.. He claws don't even look like Wolverines to begin wtih.. And thats the closest similarity they even have with the characer.

that would be a pretty cool teen wolverine. of course it would be a total retcon since he was born in the 1800's.

Anything is better than that Wolverine design. Anime can't seem to do buff characters unless they're comedic relief.

Wrong.. Look at the Batman anime.. Or other animes like Berserk where the character is amazingly ripped.. If these Marvel animes were as tight riegned like the DC one it would look amazing, and the characters would actually look like who they really are suppose to be.

I was just thinking: If this Marvel/Anime thing is popular enough in Japan, COULD this be a vital point in getting a Marvel vs. Capcom 3?

Because I remember reading an Article that Capcom said that if the MvC2 downloads were successful when released for 360 and PS3, it would show Marvel that there's still some fanbase for the arcade.

If so, wouldn't that then result in Anime Marvel vs. Capcom, where they would have "re-interpreted" versions of the Marvel characters?
