:( Am I the only one that thought this was a thread about Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe? I guess I should READ the topic title..
Batman vs Wolverine for me -Batman has the better movies by far atm...so I guess it is DC rawsavon
Made me think of this pic:
I like DC Comics better. They are much more modest and their characters have more complete personalities.
Marvel comics has about dozens of characters who have about the same powers but with no personality. However Marvel comics has a lot more powerful characters than DC does: they have Galactus (an abstract), the Living Tribunal, the Celestials, Beyonder, the abstracts like Eternity and Death and some very powerful artificats like the infinity gems, the ultimate nullifier, the cosmic cube and the heart of the infinite. So powers-wise, DC characters stand no chance against Marvel characters because Marvel characters have more cosmic power levels.
DC. Outside of the movies, Marvel kind of sucks at the moment. Silent-HalDark Reign/Siege disagrees :x
il sadly admit marvel wins OVERALL :/ but hands down batman has the greatest comics and is the greatest :3 :P

I don't hate Sentry. You can't deny the power of one million exploding sons baby.

Of all time :x!
Lol Sentry is terrible. Superman rip-off much? I mean the costume is identical... :| He's the most unimaginative character ever.. it's like "Oh, we need someone who can match Thor the way Superman can once in awhile, since whatever Stan Lee said is worthless.. Thor is weaker than Spiderman anyway..." and then they thought up Sentry.I don't hate Sentry. You can't deny the power of one million exploding sons baby.

He just so happens to have the outfit of a generic superhero. I always considered Sentry Marvel's answer to Superman. While he's not original, I like the character.
Hmm, Thor was always Stan Lee's answer to Superman lol. He said so himself. He just so happens to have the outfit of a generic superhero. I always considered Sentry Marvel's answer to Superman. While he's not original, I like the character.

Haha, you like the Haterade. I understand....
On a side note, Hulk can take Thor. :P
Oh ****, it's on now. Saying that to th3warr1or is like saying to me "Tony Stark is smarter than Reed Richards" :POn a side note, Hulk can take Thor. :P

Of course not, that's what we have Mangog for :P The original Sentry miniseries waskind of neat, but I think that it was a huuuuuuuge mistake to bring him in to mainline continuity. Now we are getting wacky backstory that the source of his powers is the same as a Biblical plague, so he's the Angel of Death or a Marvel answer to the Spectre or something. I can't imagine him being left in play after being shown to do things like smack Molecule Man aroundxaos
Eh, Thanos is way closer to the "Angel of Death" title than Sentry will ever be. He served Death herself and worshiped her. He was absolutely obsessed with Death. Last time I checked, he was turned to stone. Has he come back since then?
EDIT: That's why he committed mass genocide on his own people, and other planets as well.
I could never get into DC - dunno why. I was kind of interested in them when Superman was killed and when Bane broke Batman's back, but I never bought the comics.

Haha! xD
Come on, there's no denying it. Piss him off enough, and he can't be stopped. :P
I'm currently reading some of the first issues of The Avengers, and Thor couldn't stop him back then either. :P

no, I mean LITERAL Biblical Angel of Death, like we saw in a Dark Avengers Moses calling down the Tenth Plague and something that basically looked like the Void came out of the sky to kill all the firstborn. And Thanos is currently still dead, though the next big space event (in the Annihilation, Conquest, War of Kings, Realm of Kings vein) is slated to be called "The Thanos Imperative"[QUOTE="xaos"]Of course not, that's what we have Mangog for :P The original Sentry miniseries waskind of neat, but I think that it was a huuuuuuuge mistake to bring him in to mainline continuity. The only thing I know about Thanos is his quest to get the Infinity Gauntlet. I have a comic or two about the Infinity Wars. The last image of the last issue I had concerning that storyline was Galactus blowing up. Not sure what happened afterward.Oh ****, it's on now. The greatest sin is having Spiderman beat the X-men team in Secret Wars (I believe).[QUOTE="LikeHaterade"]

The greatest sin is having Spiderman beat the X-men team in Secret Wars (I believe). Yeah, that was pretty awful; the X-Men in general got treated as chumps throughout that seriesOn a side note, Hulk can take Thor. :PLikeHaterade*Ahem* Thor has never been beaten by Hulk, in continuity/comics canon. EVER. It's happened once in a Hulk vs, but that was an animated film. Not to mention the fact that Thor constantly has got his warrior pride thing going on. He doesn't dart and weave when fighting brawlers like the Hulk. He just goes head on brawling(ALWAYS). In that form, yes I think Hulk would eventually beat him. But there was a case of which Hulk and Thor were caught in a deadlock for over an HOUR. Hulk's strength was constantly increasing, and yet Thor kept matching him.

I know, I've read every single issue of Thor, I just always found Mangog to be a totally hilarious "ultimate menace" :) for those wondering why I find him lolworthy:

Ugh, I hate it when Marvel goes biblical. I understand that Mephisto is basically another version of satan, but he's NOT Satan. Yea, he draw's astral spirits to his realm which consists of fire and brimstone and pentagrams, but he's NOT satan. He's understood as A) A demon, or B) A shape shifter. Mephisto is not the devil. I have to agree with you.
Also, Thanos isn't dead. He was turned stone, preventing him from experiencing what he loved most. Little irony there. :P

Wouldn't Thor have lost to Hulk in the Hulk VS Thor cartoon, had he not been transformed back into Bruce Banner? It's been awhile since I've seen it. =/
