Exactly. The only Marvel hero that comes close is Daredevil... and his movie was botched. :(The_AIDude, who cares about the movie(which sucked, but the Director's cut was actually decent) when you look like this:

 Ben Affleck does piss me off too :xSad thing is, his performance wasn't the worst ever done for a Marvel character. *coughchristianbalecough*
I'm not racist, but I'm quite put off with Idris Elba being Heimdall. I'm a huge fan of the Asgardian Pantheon, and I basically revere them as far as comic books go... Heimdall, Tyr and Thor are my 3 favorite Asgardians. With Heimdall being portrayed by a black actor, it's quite offensive actually. NOT because he's black. A Hispanic, Chinese or even Pacific Islander would be the wrong choice for Heimdall. I find it disappointing how a movie about NORDIC gods have to be politically correct though. What does th3warr1or think of the new Thor movie coming out I wonder??

Eh, Phoenix was done alright. And she's powerful. Then again, Wolverine defeated her. xD
While we're on the subject, I'm about to start up on Giant-Sized X-Men issue #1. Are those any good.?
DC wins everytime. Marvel is for kids.
Scarebaby
Agreed! :P
DC just has better stories, and deeper characters. I like Marvel okay, i just don't get into them as much as i do with DC.

Yeah he sucked as Batman... a DC character. Unless he played a Marvel character I am unaware of? Ben Affleck's Daredevil not all that great but I'd say that the guy who played Dr. Doom may have been as low as it gets for crossing into film. Then again movies aint comics.all DC has is Superman, Batman, Joker, Flash, and the green lantern. Marvel has TONS of characters that i can identify in this picture

honestly, i like the Hulk and Xmen better than all of the DC universe.

All they have is Batman and Superman? That in and of itself is enough that you shouldn't be so dismissive. The reason why Marvel characters are more identifiable of late is that they have been far more willing to sell the movie rights, which make sense because all companies work to turn a profit. But really Batman and Superman as franchises are probably as big as the Marvel universe in it's entirety. I'm not even cutting Marvel down, but to open a statement saying that DC is inferior by mentioning Batman and Superman is just ridiculous. Incidentally I prefer DC by a narrow margin because I feel that Batman is the single greatest comic book character of all time followed by Superman, I love both companies however and find it silly to write one off in favor of the other. Same as videogames, the fanboy is only screwing himself over.its all about good characterisation, I dont think being nordic is the essence of who thor and buddies are.ZaibachIt's not, but they're Nordic gods. Norsemen had very little to no interaction with Africa that long ago. I know it's comics, but still. Also, I doubt a black actor will be able to characterize the "whitest of gods" better than white man can.. It's like casting Brad Pitt as T'Challa. It's still going to be offensive. I get the fact that Thor is played by an Australian, not a Norwegian, but at least they're both white. It's got nothing to do with being prejudiced. If it's a show about Tribal warriors, I don't want them getting a white actor simply because that guy is an academy award winner.

They are all characters from Norse mythology. It's the same principle as Kingpin being portrayed as a black man, "Let's show how far we've come as a society..." Stupid really. When will the day come that we portray Luke Cage, George Washington Carver, or Hank Aaron as non black men, perhaps the best audition will be given by a latino or caucasian.Zaibach

If you got a bunch of white dudes to play tribal people you could because everyone was in a tribe once. sam worthington in avatar (cgi trickery not withstanding), If you want to get brad pitt to play t'challa thats just bast casting..... maybe eminem
