My guess is that they will go with a late-20s or early-30s relative unknown Brit, and likely non-white.
They would bever cast an American guy. It's a British show through and through. American supporting characters are fine, but the doctor himself will always be a British Actor.
Benedict Cumberbatch would be awesome as the Doctor. He might be too big of a star though now that he's doing Hollywood movies. I think that's what Matt Smith wants to do.Benedict Eggs Cumberbatch Kids would be a cool Doctor.
