Did you even read the article? He sounds like someone who is an expert in military/foreign policy matters.

I didn't get any sense of expertise from those short comments. I could make the same claim and it wouldn't make me an expert.

Alright, you can't just take the words on their own. You have to factor in his experience. And those words also don't make him sound childish, because no one has yet to prove that he is withholding information from the government.

Yeah I think the issue here is that it is more of a weird direct comment. Sounds like some misspoken rhetoric. The downside being the Republicans have waved the "omg terrorism" flag a bit too much and folks are a bit tired of it and it comes off as something more than just a mistake.

I agree fully. I was never a big fan of "Terrorism this" and "terrorism that" but I don't think it warrants such a biased reaction to a quote that has been taken out of context.

McCain suck we cannot have another republican in the White House oh else America will become under attack like 9/11 gameroz

Totally forgeting the fact that Bush was in office less than a year when 9/11 happened and that we haven't been attacked since under his term. :|

To some extent I think it is just one of those landmines the Republicans have built for themselves. You play that card often enough there is going to be a reaction. Cripes how often did we hear last night about how dangerous a time we live in. Yeesh. I actually doubt that kind of comment will change anyone's mind or pickup or loose votes.

Osama Bin Laden is probably dead anyway... so, theres no point.Haziqonfire

to be honest i don't think he ever existed. many even believe 9/11 was stage so wars can be started and the new world order be put into effect. i'm from the city and there is no way you can stop terrorism here, itz just too hugh. what the governments want to do is be all in your business. search you and your stuff, spy on you thru cameras placed everywhere change the currency into electronics so they can have more control of the ppl. the economy is f-up and drastic measures needed to be taken. they want the ppl to be scared of unknown threats that can't be proven......this is really how you are robbed of your freedom.

itz hard for me to believe Bush saying someone by the name of Bin Laden is responsible for this. not when i know Bush senior wanted to get back at Saddam and needed an excuse to get there. Bush even lied about weapons of mass destruction. that was the main reason we went over there but now itz about the oil and corporation. should of known better since Bush senior and his Kuwait friends were caught slant drilling into Iraq for oil when he was in term.

Bush is invested in Oil and Cheney is in construction. Iraq is rich in both oil and cement. we don't negotiate with terrorist because the threats against us doesn't exist. but according to politicts and the media it does. why not hear what the terrorist have to say? hmmm...

all politicians are the same. i don't trust none of them....look at what each and every last one of them did for themselves and look at what they did for the country.

I wouldn't feel good about it. I don't think it is going to happen because I think Bush has done a good job protecting us. That however is not an endorsement of Bush, merely that he has succeeded at one thing, protecting us.

I trust McCain to continue to protect us and if we are ever attacked, that he will have gumption to strike back.

Yes, I can see how that would be quite annoying over the years now. I don't like how Rudy harped on 9/11 during his campaign, and I don't like how the Party harps on terrorism. I too believe that we need to focus on other issues. That being said I don't think we should totally ignore the issue.

I could see how some folks would take this as an opportunity to lash out, but is it really necessary?

Atleast he knows what to do, and that you can't invade a country with nuclear weapons, and that Russia has a veto power in the UN security council.

All unlike Obama.

We don't even know if there is a plan. He never says vote for me or I wont tell. He says, if you vote for me, I am prepared to go after Osama Bin Laden, and I will catch him.

That is a damn good reason to vote for him. It isn't a ploy to get votes, it is just stating that if elected, he will be prepared to get Osama.

Guys, you can't fully trust either of them right now.

IMO McCain is obssesed with his military experience and Obama is the "nice" guy.. Let's see what these can offer America, once they get elected, and then you can fight as much as you want.

Capturing Bin Laden shouldnt be part of anyones political portfolio. It stands to reason that if ANYONE currently running for office ( or not running for that matter) knew how or where to catch him they would do so with or without getting elected.

So he touts himself to be capable of capturing Bin Laden but since he wants to use it as political leverage he refuses to act on it unless he gets elected?

Its either of 2 things. More likely he's blowing hot air and isnt any closer than anyone else has been to finding him or he really does know something and cares more about using that knowledge to troll for votes and less about using it to find bin laden.

Either way he isnt getting my vote ( wasnt anyway ) strictly off of that.

TLDR : If he was any more capable of finding him than anyone else ( he isnt btw ) he'd just do it. Nabbing bid laden in the middle of a campaign would pretty much seal the win for him. He's full of it imo.

A Obama Zombie huh? Sorry Sen. McCarthy but just because my views dont match yours, dont be associating me like that. Are you that blinded by your bias, he said he WILL...let me repeat in-case you dont understand, he said with his plan he W...I....L.....L get Bin Laden, he wont do his best, he wont try, he himself believes his way of getting Bin laden will not only be better then any other who has tried, but his way WILL (certain, 100%) get Bin Laden. Well if he is right, if his OWN words are the truth then its a pretty damn good plan. He has the key to catching Bin Laden, but the problem comes down to two thing, first off, if its so great why doesnt he tell Bush so that we can get him now? And second, if he isnt telling Bush, and is waiting for us to elect him so that he can, well Im pretty damn sure the reason he said this to begin with is that he wants the votes, but those shouldnt matter, if he is so confident in his plan he should be using it now, in cooperation with the government to get Bin Laden now, to protect America as you have said he will do, but why should we wait for him to be president for him to do that? He is a Veteran, he loves his country, and Im wondering, all those traits and he has yet to tell the world this in-genius plan that he himself said "WILL get Bin Laden."
