Megadeth or Metallica

So attention metal fans, it's your turn to answer this question. Megadeth or Metallica both of them are awesome, which one do you like the most???

I'm a fan of both bands, I even have a small fund just to buy a vip ticket to meet any of em should they ever come to my country. But I must say that I find Megadeth to be better, the sound may be a little similar between bothbut most metallica's songs are like 8-9 mins of a with 3 of those minutes spent on a solo and while it's good sometimes it feels a little annoying, while Megadeth songs are a little shorter 5 mins or so but they manage well their time. Also metallica is not the same compared to when they released the black album and over the time they've gotten a little sloppy while Megadeth seems to be getting better. The only downside is mustaine's attitude with the band (he changes his band members like they were underwear)

Summing up I like the sound of Megadeth more What about you??

For those of you who don't know, Dave mustain origianly played in metallica but he had a conflict of interests with the band and they kicked him out, filled with anger and hate he decided to create his own band,that wouldplaybetter, faster and stronger than metallica and thus that's how megadeth was born. I guess metallica got surprised when they saw their ex mate's band actually succeeding. :P Somecool backstory for aband.

Megadeth. RiP, Peace Sells, and Killing is My Business are all much better than anything by Metallica.

I like Megadeth better.

I like both bands, but own more Metallica music than I do Megadeth.

Im huge fans of both but I would say Metallica. Master of Puppets, And Justice for All, and the Black Album are Metallica's best works. Ride the Lightning and Death Magnetic are pretty good too.strykerz54

Megadeth by FAR. Metallica does nothing but annoy me.

i was at the bifg four cncert and metallica was the most BADASS band in there. not only in tracklist but in PERFOMANCE , and sound... oh that giutar distortion was EPIC. megadeth are overated... and one other thing...

is there anyone who plays the guitar and have not tried to aply the opening riff for master of puppets.. this alone..

As a guitar player the choice was obvious. Megadeth by far! Chris Broderick is so much better than anyone in Metallica that it is an obvious answer. He is also probably my favorite guitar player after Jeff Loomis. Show me something like that from Metallica and might change my choice.

Honestly I know both bands have similar sounds, but they're collectively very different from each other because of media impact. For instance, from what I've gathered, people who listen to rock like Metallica better, and people who listen to metal like Megadeth better. Why? Because Metallica nowadays is affiliated more with rock bands than metal bands.

I am not a big fan of either but I do have a couple of Metallica songs on my Zune so I'll go with them. Not my favorite style of metal.
