Personally I'll take Peace Sells and Rust In Peace over Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning. But damn if they're not good.

Megadeth is far more talented than Metallica, and I do love a few of their albums but for whatever reason I love old Metallica more. Probably because I grew up on it lol.

Metallica. I prefer their 80s music to anything Megadeth has done and also Dave Mustaine bugs me. He gets all whiney about everything - "waaa, they kicked me out, waaa. I refuse to play at the same show as this band because their views are different to mine, waaaa." It seems he is so threatened in the metal scene that he has to start a feud with anyone who gets some popularity.xTheExploited

No doubt he has a big ego, that's why they went through 20 members. But now all 4 thrash metal kings are touring together, so Metallica and Megadeth must of put their differences aside finally. But he is right that Kirk Hammet jump started his career with Mustaine's guitar work, and imo is a better guitar player.

hard decision.. megadeth has more quality songs imo.. but metallica has a lot of good ones.. touch choice.

This is like the third thread on this in a year.:| Metallica for me because they have more songs that I enjoy. Megadeth is awesome too. They are more technically proficient but technicalities aren't everything.

Megadeth. Lars is a terrible drummer, Hetfield is only slightly better than Mustaine at singing (after Black Album he's worse), and the bass is literally inaudible on Metallica's later releases. Plus Endgame is actually a decent album.

Metallica. I care for Megadeth.

Megadeth for sure.

I dislike both, but if I had to choose, Megadeth. Their early days are vastly overrated, though.
