I thought that the movie was really well done, and gibson himself is a great actor.  About the whole "hating jews" thing tho, im not really sure about that....
He may not be crazy butI do believe he is prejudice. Plus Apocolypto was really dumb. The language in the movie was an inference to what they really spoke. That and many other things took away from that movies credibility.

Firstly, most religious movies are crap, although I did enjoy 'The Last Temptation of Christ'. However, the Passion was a 2 hour long movie of somebody getting beaten up for nothing... so it sucked.

The acting was good, the setting was good, and the plot followed its source material good. It did what it set out to do which was show the last few hours of Chirst life before he died.
Not my favorite movie, but i can appreciate what Gibson was trying to do. Â Besides, The Patriot was one Badass movie. Â :PÂ
If I wanted to see a guy get tortured for 2 hours, I'd watch hostel. The Passion is a horrible movie and only dwells on Jesus' death, rather than the good he did while he was alive. Mel is a crazy wanker!PercivalCox
The torture is the whole point. Obviously you have to be a christian or something to understand. It's detailing what he went through for our sins. It's one of the most important events in his life. It's practicly the whole point of his life, was the horrors he went through.

Everyone is entitled to their thoughts. As long as they can keep them to themselves, you shouldnt dilike someone because of it. It's not becouse of the religious undertones, I dislike it becouse it's a snuff film. I like to watch movies to be entertained, not watch a person be tortured.
Regardless of the movie at hand it has been shown that Mel Gibson is indeed a Bigot.. Now I don't think he needed to apologize publicly, this whole thing saying " HI world I am sorry" for the slightest slip up or a person becoming offended needs to stop.

He did an accurate adaptation of a book, good for him, blah blah blah. I don't think many people ENJOYED watching Jesus being crucified, but it was their belief, so they watched it anyway.
