I agree, Burton exposed them to classical music, which greatly influenced the complexity on the earlier albums, they tried to continue a similar style with "..and Justice for All", but then we saw what happened when Lars and James are left to rely on their own ability and influences, and Kirk just wants to solo, I'm not going to say they sold out, just that they switched over to a much simpler style, much less heavy sound, that I personally just don't think comes anywhere near Megadeth, or their earlier stuff.
well for whom the bell tolls, master of puppets, fuel, and seek and destroy are some of my favorite songs but I havent looked into megadeth much. Ive heard songs like Hangar 18 and go to hell, but not much else. I'll look them up though
