Microwaved Popcorn = Worst possible food you can eat?

My Chemistry teacher one day made a big deal about microwaved popcorn, and how the bags or something like that contain all these poisons, will give you cancer, etc. - not specifically what he said, but it's close to it. Is there any truth to this?

Everything kills you so its ok.

I'm pretty sure a bag or two every now and then isn't that bad.

There are problems that can arise from it, sure.

I rarely eat popcorn. The only time I have is when I am at a friends house, I never buy it myself.
