Can anyone remember a time when Muslim and Arab did not automatically bring up mental images of masked C4 laden pyscopaths with Ak-47's?

You know images like, Aladdin, magic lamps, genies, flying carpets, and Sultans came to mind. Or maybe the people with large golden domed roofed buildings or that language that is extremely difficult to learn.

But all that was ruined just becuase a couple of morons decided to ram a few planes into some buildings.

Unfortunatly, realistically, that will never happen. Mankind is not a peaceful race. The only thing that will happen is that we, we as in western society, will "forgive" them as we did with Germans. No one hates Germans anymore for all the crap they did in the past.

So when the time finally comes that we, again we as in society in general, no longer hate Arabs we will be off to hating some other ethnicity.

i feel this is turning to a preachingsession :P but i have to say this..

i did start with my own self to do my part in this change on a personal level, and if more like me and u start to come together from all over the world, someday there will be peace. u might even be surprised how many people are willing to change this state of the world to the better, and i can tell u.. they are alot more than those who just want to bring chaos.

and this is just a little thing i can do to fulfill that, by bringing different people together from all over the world and closing that gap.

I'm going to be blunt. Throughout history, there has always been conflict between Sunnis, Sufis, and Shiites and will continue as long as there is a tribal mindset. Of course, that's not much of an excuse considering you don't see protestants and catholics killing each other. Then again, it varies due to culture.

well that's something cultures and countries have to deal with internally, the thing i'm trying to do here is bringing the east and the west. there will always be opposition, its true, but with the majority voting for communication and peace, the other minority will be ashamed to even raise their voice against them. plus, how can u really condemn a whole culture based on the actings of a few that even we don't acknowledge?DeMoN_SouL_666

Well, as well as there are fascinations about other countries, u can find some here.. for example, Jordan has MANY historical sites that goes back to the Romans, and are the destination of a lot of western tourists. also, Jordan is known for the angry faces of people that it makes u laugh your gut out. I am Jordanian but thank god i'm not like them... these are just a few from whats here.

Lebanon, for example, is famous for its amazing night life and friendly people and also has amazing sites and places of its won.

Dubai is known for using technology in everything they do more than any other country in the world. have u ever tried to check that out? and thats just to mention a few..
