Yeah, really from the name I would not have expected them to be funny at all, but they really seem to me to be like a modern incarnation of the original Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time Players from the antediluvian SNL.

Yeah, first time I saw their name I also thought College humor? but it turned out very good :)
I think the reason CH is so funny is not because the writers are funny, but because they put alot of effort into their jokes and refine them until they are perfect enough to make anyone laugh or at least smile.
