Newt Gingrich warned us about Massachusetts' liberals.

He had a chance to show that he's good on the international scale, but is failing miserably. I don't think it will change the election here, but if he is elected, it doesn't bode well.

I don't really think this is a big deal. Basically from what I understand Romney said reports about possible security and traffic issues (including some strikes) were disconcerting. That is not really a big deal, it was a fair criticism to make and not really an insult. I do find Cameron's remarks (specifically the "middle of nowhere" part) to be disconcerting and quite offensive, and they could cause him and his party to lose some support among rural areas of the UK.

Romney's little gaffe is really nothing compared to Obama's gaffe about "we don't have a stonger friend and stonger ally than Nicolas Sarkozy and the French people" which probably resulted in a whole lot of teacups dropping accompanied by cries of "bloody hell". Obama appears to have a history of uwittingly offending Britain or underming their interests although he has made attempts to mend U.S.-U.K. ties.
