Mortal Kombat is 10 times better than street fighter, always has been, probably always will. Tired of denying it with my friends. I am proud to say it loud. Street Fighter is a bad series

Street Fighter games are far more competitive to the point that there is huge tournments with cash prizes.. Though not perfectly balanced, Mortal Kombat is sure as hell not.. Noob Siabot for instance in alot of those games is a playable character.. He alone has one of the most overpowered moves in the game, the dark cloud move which makes you harmless while he can beat the hell out of you.
Street Fighter 3, Capcom VS Snk2 and Marvel VS Capcom 2 are all games that still have tournaments for yearly.
Mortal Kombat hasn't been really good for a few years now. I like Sub-Zero, but I don't remember a really fun MK game since the one on the Mega Drive. Bourbons3
Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate was really the last good one imo.
Lol let me edit Street fighter>Killer instinct>mortal kombatKILLER INSTINCT > all other fighters

The Marvel vs. Capcom series is too combo crazy....It takes away from the chess game that the old school Street Fighter 2 games areTwo400

I've always had some sort of bias towards Killer Instinct. Especially with Fulgore, that character owned

Marvel Vs Capcom is a pretty sweet game.. With alot of strategy involved.. Though I do agree, they went alittle too far with 3 characters.. They should have stuck with the 2v2 fights of Xmen Vs Streetfighter which wasn't as fast paced.
Suggest you look at Capcom VS SNK 2.. That game requires alot of skill not just team build, handicaps on certain players.. But grooves which can change the play style of a single character completely..

The thing I did not like about Killer Instinct (though it is a cool game) is all the combos like Mortal Kombat were already pre defined.

I do like Capcom vs SNK 2. It's one of my favorite games.

One thign I curse Capcom for never adding in again was in Super Stree Fighter 2, they had the brilliant Tournament mode.. With 16 brackets all randomized, with CPU or players in each slot.. You can watch each fight, and there were actually a losers bracket as well.. So even if you lost a fight you could still place high..
Then magically AFTER this game they completely removed this mode which I spent countless hours playing with my friends..
Games like Marvel Vs Capcom 2 or Capcom Vs Snk2 would have been instant classics for most fighter fans imo if they added those modes.. Could you imagine the mass varience and replayability with a huge tourament mode like that with the huge amount of characters and combinations.
