I prefer "whole fat" milk, though everyone else in the household likes 2% so we drink that. I could go through a gallon in a day of the good stuff.achilles614Believe it or not, whole milk is the best milk for you. Low fat and skim milk is very bad despite the popular belief that its somehow healthier.
[QUOTE="Opi0us"]Banana milk ftw!LZ71wtf is this
The greatest thing since sliced bread
which isn't really all that great
but I like the expression
[QUOTE="lo_Pine"]But...but...Ron Burgandy says milk is a bad choice! That is true, except for water. At least for me.br0kenrabbit
Water...ugh. It's like a brick in my stomach.
Besides, I live not far from a uranium enrichment and storage facility. You think they're gonna tell us if that shit leaks?

Oh my gawd. Just drink your damn water, the last thing this country needs is another paranoid f*ck who complains about every litte pasturization or chemical.
You've eaten irridated meat I garuntee it. Unless you're a vegetarian, and it's harmless.

Have you any idea what uranium-235 even is?
Â
It's not like this shit doesn't leak into our groundwater.

This isn't Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dude. The plant is contained. It's only dangerous if it blew up or something.
Â
And radioactive particles can pass through water without poisioning it. Happens ALL THE TIME. And if it was dangerous, then they would say, or people around you would be dropping from radiation sickness, unless everyone only drinks hardcore milk like you. But then that wouldn't help you, because if the plant was poisioning the water, you wouldn't need to drink it to get poisioned, your cells would be getting knocked out anyway from the uranium in the water anyway.

Read the above again: Effluent Treatment Provided: None, Not known at this time, etc.
Also, it most definately IS a problem around here. We have a much higher rate of all types of cancer than the national average. They've been studying the residents and workers in this area since the Manhatten Project began.
Positive associations were observed between low-level exposure to external ionizing radiation and mortality. These associations were larger for doses received after 45 years of age, larger under longer lag assumptions, and primarily due to cancer causes of death. All cancer mortality was estimated to increase 4.98% [standard error (SE) = 1.5] per 10-mSv cumulative dose received after age 45 under a 10-year lag, and 7.31% (SE = 2.2) per 10-mSv cumulative dose received after age 45 under a 20-year lag. Associations between radiation dose and lung cancer were of similar magnitude to associations between radiation dose and all cancers except lung cancer. Nonmalignant respiratory disease exhibited a positive association with cumulative radiation dose received after age 45, whereas ischemic heart disease exhibited no association with radiation dose. These findings suggest increases in cancer mortality associated with low-level external exposure to ionizing radiation and potentially greater sensitivity to the carcinogenic effects of ionizing radiation with older ages at exposure.
Ingestion is far worse than simple exposure, because that shit doesn't pass through.
And you're fooling yourself if you think they tell us everything.
What's the difference between a white cow and a black cow's milk?I drink either white cow's milk or goat's milk. I prefer goat's milk. I also like sheep's milk, but it's very rare that I can find it.

Heh... it was a response to the poll: "white cow's milk" as in "not chocolate", "not strawberry", etc.
I'm like you, except that I hate the taste. Chocolate milk is okay though. Still makes me feel bad, but I like the taste. That's it, though. Any other milk, I think it tastes disgusting. I don't have a problem with cheese, ice cream, and I even like milk as an ingredient in certain things. But just a straight glass of plain milk? Disgusting. Anyway, do you know why it is that milk has that effect on the digestive system? I'm pretty sure it's not lactose intolerance, because I can consume other dairy products just fine without having that problem. I also remember drinking milk all the time when I was a kid, and I didn't have that problem. So I wonder why it causes me so much discomfort now.Milk. It is sooooooo good.
I can't think of another drink on the planet that refreshes like white milk (though milk is technically food).
However, I pay the price when I drink it: sometimes to the point of being locked in the fetal position as that shit punches its way through my gut. But I can't stay away from it...it's just too damn good.
You can do so much with milk, it really is a wonder there aren't whole religions devoted to it.
So what'll you have?

Most people stop producing lactase around the age of 6 or so, but it varies by ethinic group. Europeans (and those of descent) are the group that most retains the ability to produce lactase, Native Americans and Asians rarely retain this ability into adulthood.
I'm not sure why milk products (like cheese) don't produce this effect. I might look into it someday.
