Mods a little too strict?

Yeah, they are. I have been moderated for some real crap before.

Everyone always says this. The mods have never been more, or less strict. They do their job to a good enough degree. It is fine.

but they do make some poor choices sometimes. but most people do that.

Yeah, I've got like 30 moderations to prove it. :lol:

They do a good enough job. I just don't agree with some of the members they ban.

Not all mods. I know for a fact that some are and I know a moderator that agrees with me.

Most of the time the mods seem to be doing their job, but there are times where I believe they moderated something because it angered a personnel opinion of theirs (they're people after all).

I got 7 days suspended once cuz I mentionated the name of a certain section of a certain site....just because I mentionated! and it said I was "censor bypassing" even though I didnt got any message or problem telling me there was a censored word in my post when I posted...once again I checked the rules and there was nothing mentionating that no one should even name the site I named...lightleggy

Well, from the way it is phrased, I know what site you are talking about, and I know that we are not allowed to mention it by name. See, you can't censor simply a letter, as they would be silly, as a result, that becomes a rather slippery rule, but it is a rule on the site none the less.

I've been modded for things I don't agree with, I was given a week suspension for posting a piece of art, now, that seemed ridiculous to me, but obviously it is moderator discretion, and while mods can, and do, get it wrong from time to time, they are only human afterall, so I let it go, and that is what others should do. I mean, a week away from a videogame forum, is that really the end of the world?

but still...I got pissed off because there was no rule saying that I shouldn't mention the site...yet the mods assumed that I knew that and they suspended me! and its not hard to censor the name of the section, its a 3 characters long name....its not only a letter...it has 2 symbols

I dont think they're too strict. They're here to do their job and make Forums organized and civilized.
