Depends on what makes you happy. So yes, it can.
Money can buy happiness for some people, but it is not everlasting.Immortalica
[QUOTE="FragStains"]Yes, it can. I can't think of a single instance in which my having unlimited resources would be a bad thing.MochycI believe having unlimited money would be a bad thing. You would have everything at your disposal without any work; you would quickly grow bored of practically everything. Haven't you every gotten bored at the end of the summer vacation? It's like that, except at a higher scale. I would rather be rich while having a job rather than have everything thrown at me freely. if you had unlimited money i think the good you could do for others would far outweigh your own boredom...
Yes and no. We (my wife and I) were making over 200k several years back, now she stays home with our twins, and I make much less. So we do have financial stress now, but it's not too big of a deal.
Yes. I can purchase things that make me happy. And of course money does not solve all problems.Nifty_SharkFirst reply pretty much summed it up. You can get a certain amount of happiness by having money. I'm always a bit happier when I have a fresh bottle of rum for example, but without having a lovely wife that brings me rum and coke refills when needed I would be less happy. Money can buy a lot of material happiness. I'd say having a lot of money can get you 60% or so of the way there, but then the rest comes with having friends, family, fun gaming sites to visit...etc. :)
Short term happiness maybe, but it can never buy you lasting inner peace and joy. Money will always be spent, and always leave a gap that you feel you need to fill by spending more money.
I think what that saying means is that money won't solve all of your problems. Money can indeed buy happiness.I'm sure we're all familiar with the saying, but do you think it's true? Can money "buy" happiness?
Personally, I feel it can. I can assure you my life would be far different, and far more enjoyable if I had money, so in that case I do feel money could buy me happiness.
What about you? Would a large some of money buy you happiness or can happiness only be obtain through other means?

No, it can't. But it can buy stuff. And stuff makes me very, VERY happy. Sure, it's not the same "ooo, I'm soooo enlightened" hapiness, but I don't care, since I got a lot of stuff. Stuff rules.
More money More problems, Life is balanced, its %50 happiness, %50 sadness, money might make you happy for a while but it will also bring you problems later on in life.
I think that it can if it's required to pay for life's necessities. Some luxuries, like vidya games, I believe can provide a shallower sense of happiness, but it's still happiness nonetheless. I do, however, agree with the philosophical musings of the Beatles: "Money can't buy me love."
Yes. without money how could i buy a car? i love cars, so in buying one that would make me happy :)racing1750
And what if it got stolen? :) ...
