Good luck finding one of those jobs at that age.. It's going to take a while. The McDonalds, Wendy's, A&W and Tim Hortons restaurants around here all hire kids as young as 13/14. I know a lot of kids who have worked since 8th grade. Not impossible at all.

CVS, McDonalds? Making $50 a week should be less of a concern than his studies in high school.
well some people actually need to work to help suppor their family/save for college/pay for car/etc
Forget all that. Ace AP/honors classes, graduate at the top of your class and you will get financial aid for Ivy League schools. Especially if you come from a family that can't support a high school student. Work for yourself.

Then CVS, Albertsons, Kroegers, Ralphs, Vons, and El Pollo Loco are the places he should be applying for. I am not trying to say he is an average student only that he should strive to be exceptional in academics.

Hit garage sales and thrift stores for cheap stuff to resell on ebay and amazon. I still do this for extra cash, its lots of fun and you can find stuff for yourself too.
