in a perfect society, money would be non existent.
Will a resource based economy work? is it possible?
this video is very convincing

You can't do anything without money, it's just kind of the nature of the world that it's necessary.
I can not even begin to describe how wrong that was...
Money is certainly not the root of ALL evil, but many terrible things have happened and will happen because of it. At the same time though, it can be a source of many good things as well (depending on your morals). Money is only valuable because we as a species believe it is, not because it is inherently useful or necessary. I wish humans would evolve past the concept of money, but that is as hard to imagine as the time before your birth.
It only does that because we believe it to be valuable. ALL forms of money/currency are useless outside of human society. It is something we would be far better off without if we could evolve past such a concept. It drives society and makes life better for everyone. If anything, I'd say it is the opposite of evil.

Currently money is the best system we have for preventing even more unfair distribution of necessities / resources in the world. I'd have to know more about a resource based economy before I would say its better than the monetary system. But our current system does leave the majority of people unfulfilled and almost slaves to money which in my opinion is pretty evil.

'Tis the season to be a trap.
It enslaves Humankind. We work everyday because without money we would die of starvation. It doesn't better ourselves, it creates a system that entraps Humankind. What about people who work 4 jobs so their homes won't be foreclosed what about homeless people that can't work? what about lower class people who need the money more than say the fat cats on Wall Street. I say money owns people because without money you are nothing. It drives society and makes life better for everyone. If anything, I'd say it is the opposite of evil.

Furthermore if you lived in poverty you would be prone to steal to survive, more likely than a rich person or a person with money.
