Beethoven was a genius, to say the least. "Moonlight Sonata" is an absolute masterpiece.
I love classical music.
I don't particularly like classical music... give it a dance beat and I'm there.
Fur Elise (trance mix) rocks.
Now it's time to turn your world upside down...

The Moonlight Sonata is decent but these are Beethoven's true masterworks.foxhound_fox
wow i had heard so many of these but i never knew their name or composer or anything!
I heard it for the first time and was amazed especial since im not into that type of music but WOW! Especially considering that Beethoven created it while he was deaf. When people mention greatest musicians ever i never hear names like Mozart or Beethoven but he is defiantly one if not the greatest ever.raider1648
Well, classical composers like them just go without saying...and anyone who says otherwise surely has no idea what they're talking about.
Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, etc. etc.

Well if you liked the Moonlight sonata I think it's safe to say you do like cIassical music, maybe you just hadn't listened properly? Anyway, did you listen to the whole thing or just the exceptionally cliched first movement? I would recommend you listen to any of his symphonies, especially the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 9th, some of the greatest music ever created. :D
That piece is a good one to play to work on expression. And is also pretty hard in the last movement.
Quick! We need pianist in here right now! jetpower3Just what I was thinking.
I liked The tempest better >_> And correct me if i'm wrong but I thought Mozart was the deaf dude.MrLionsNope, that was Beethoven.
Beethoven and Mozart have always been my most favorite composers (but then, I mostly only listen to Classical music anyway). I assume you only heard the first movement, which is the most common movement of the Moonlight Sonata. But this is another favorite movement of the Moonlight Sonata for me:
Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement
Edit: Yes, Beethoven was the deaf composer, Mozart was the prodigy...

Are you serious?
Anyways Moonlight Sonata is ok but definetly not his best, I'm too lazy to give you any examples or links though, sorry...
Quick! We need pianist in here right now! jetpower3Why? Is he the only one allowed to enjoy cIassical music?

Unless you were being sarcastic or being funny and I haven't noticed your humor in all this time, my bad. But it seems like you always take other peoples post in a fashion where you just want to argue on purpose. For what? Who knows. Perhaps you're miserable, I just noticed.
Carry on.
Well then the problem is yours. I didn't want to argue...I was curious why it was necessary for ONLY one user to enter a particular thread...though frankly with the comments you make in threads it's seems you do want to cause controversary...and arguing ironically.Unless you were being sarcastic or being funny and I haven't noticed your humor in all this time, my bad.
