Not surprised.

I bet there could be some awesome creatures in this world, we have just yet to discover them.
The space is really big, so in my opinion, we should explore our planet first.

the more we discover about our planet, the less we know about her. :) i truly hope that scientists would keep up the good work -- not to find ways to further exploit our mother nature, but to restore the harmony between us.

Scientists have been discovering new species of crustaceans, worms, and sponges in deep waters for decades.  So these newest findings aren't surprising or even all that interesting.

I'm still waiting for them to find something truly unique and spectacular.

If you think about it, its quite amazing how many creatures there are incuding the thousands that we havn't discovered yet. Us humans aren't giving them a chance. We have all these buildings, cars, machines etc. But other animals are just these little primitive things (obviously not all of them but you know what i mean) that are so helpless while we rule everything. I think humans got a little lucky. We could be in anyother animals position while the evolved leopards or penguins rule the roost. I know this post is a bit pointless but I think us humans need to think about the rest of the world and not just ourselves.

Once they find a humanoid with wings, lungs, and gills, then I'll be interested in it.

Harmony? Nature's way would be to destroy us. Harmony in this case can't well exist with change and obviously have got to change.

That's pretty cool...so I guess this could mean Antartica is the cradle of all life, since life crawled out of the sea?  I figured it woulda been either dead center in the .......omg I JUST forgot the name of it...OH ok I got it -- the equator -- or either north or south poles.  Just cause they're the extreme parts of our planet.

Yeah, that was expected.  I wonder what else they'll find when a lot of it starts melting.  Maybe........unicorns.

Cool, but not as suprising as one might expect, I guess. There's still the depths of the oceans that we haven't been able or just haven't searched the areas. If the Antarctic holds 700 recently discovered and recorded species, what's in the Pacific Ocean?
