Mine is happening right now, here's the story if anyone cares:

So I met this girl on myspace (yes, shut up, myspace) two months ago, and we talked extensively. So we finally met today on the first day of college (shes a freshman I'm a sophmore) and it was so awkward and both of us were quiet and shy. We both expected it to happen, but I don't know what to feel.I don't have class until way later, I'm waiting for her right now, she's in her class, but she's so quiet I don't know if its because thats the way she is or if she just doesn't like me and doesn't want to see me again. That sounded emo, I apologize. Anyways, its just the most awkward situation for me so far in my life. I still need to give her a b-day gift, and walk her to her car. I've been really nice and friendly I think, I offered to get her something at the store, but she said no, I've showed around campus and stuff.

So what about you guys? I'm expecting a lot of girl related situations. NO GIRL ADVICE

You are thinking too much, just be nice to her and don't be an idiot.

Well, once I walked in on a kid masturbating in the school bathroom when I was in high school. I was like "oh...****", and walked out. I didn't know how to explain or react to that situation. Whats hilarious is that he probably never noticed me.

Either you guys are too shy around each other and need to lighten up or theres just no chemistry.

As for me, well I just don't have many awkward moments.

Awkward? That's not awkward. Awkward is when you step out of the shower, realize you forgot to pull a clean towel from the linen closet in the hallway, step out of the bathroom dripping and naked, and come face to face with your roommate's mother who dropped by for a surprise visit. Now, that's awkward.

psh lighten up with her, and stop trying to be so nice lol. just be yourself and find something interesting. maybe its just you are both shy...

Ive had A LOT of embarassing experiances, fortunantly I have the ability to block it out or laugh at it now. Probabaly the worst was not being able to get my winky up for a girl I liked lol, she thought she was ugly and unattractive to me, but i was just sick really sick and didnt wanna do anything. that kinda sucked for a while.

:o Holy cow! :o

For me it was a similar situation to the original poster. My high school roomate met a very hot woman online. They were quite taken with each other but, when they met, she thought he was really, really ugly. Then she asked me what I thought she should do!

omg, speaking of crotch grabbing, I'd say my previous most awkward situation was in 8th grade and I was playing flag football.

I was juking everyone like crazy, and this chick gives a half assed attempt at grabbing my flag, she misses, and guess what she grabs? Yup, I ended up running passed her and scored a td btw

the "talk" with your dad/mom.

The longest 30 minutes of my life. The whole time I was thinking "Earthquake, Natural Disaster, Lighting, something that'll get me out of this!!"

Also, when i went to a girl's house, whose parents were overprotective. The dad showed me his gun collection :? (Maybe not akward but extremely scary experience)

A couple of weeks ago, one of my mom's friend (she's in her late 50s) started to rub my legs. I thought it was like some kind of friendly gesture.. but then she started rubbing my inner thigh near my crotch area, until her husband walked into the room. She quickly pulled her hand away and started rubbing my knee.

That is without a doubt the most awkward situation I have ever been in. Her husband looked a little uncomfortable but I don't know if he actually had a problem with it. I know he saw her hand, though. Maybe he's into that kind of stuff. :|

Navigated away from her in the room, and made sure I wasn't left alone in the room with her again that night :P Also creepy, because she's someone I had known since I was like 9 or 10

*shivers*

or the time when I met my ex GF's dad and well he asked me loads and loads of awkward questions, I think he was perhaps joking but I mean come on... who asks you "do you know how to put a condom on?" and keep a straight face???

The oldest, (which happens to be the fattest, with a huge, enourmous, beastly looking a**) was hitting on me.

She told me that if I needed "someone with experience" to let her know. The other two ladies laughed, but they told me not to be scared "We won't do anything you don't want us to do"

They kept looking at me up and down throughout the day, I never felt so awkward in my life.

BTW, I'm only 19 years old.

So there was I sitting there all innocent one day and my dad approaches me in a very stern manner and says something to the effect of: "Erm, Luke...I was just filing my bills and it seems that there are certain...extra costs on here..."

*shows me bills*

"...do you know anything about these?"

I saw what was written on the bills and nearly died inside. How had I been rumbled? So downstairs we went to the conference table and it was then that I was subjected to what seemed like an eternity of chit-chat about how those kind of things were only for "grown up people" and the inappropriateness of my conduct.

Needless to say, I only look at the free stuff now. 8)

mine was very similar to yours... I had a folder full of ahem "stuff" and my dad happened to stumble upon it when looking for our holiday photo's....

he waited until I went on teh computer and he just walked upto me and said that theres some stuff on the computer that I should delete. And then he sat down next to me and started telling me all manner of things I did not want to hear.

My most embarassing moment...let's see, I've had a few.

The one that stands out the most seems to be my freshman year of college. I was partying it up the whole weekend, some friends came up and stayed for the weekend in my dorm. Well, after a long night of partying, me and my gf at the time decided to get into the deed and kicked them out for a awhile. Well, as time went on, they kept knocking on my door and causing a ruckus in the hallway, so several times I had to stop and go out and talk to them and tell them to go hang out somewhere else for a bit. Well I never locked the door after the last time I sent them away. One of my other friends who lived down the hallway knocked on the door and then walked in, he was drunk and cut himself, asking for a bandaid not realizing what was going on. Well it was pretty embarassing that I actually had to cover myself up, give him a band-aid and send him on his way. The next morning everyone on the floor knew what had happened and they were talking about it. It was embarassing but pretty damn funny.

[QUOTE="luke1889"]Hmm, one of my most awkward moments must have been "the talk" with my father. How he managed to keep a straight face, I'll never know. :cry:muppet1010

tell me about it. My dad went all "Discovery Channel"

When a female reaches peak arousal....

WTF?!?!

The thing with my "talk" was that is was a result of me going on certain...websites which you had to pay for and they appeared on my dad's Internet bill. But I never knew about such fees.

Heh, that's harsh. I never have and probably never will save any of the good stuff onto my PC, mainly because other folk use it on occasion and them discovering it would just be another awkward moment.

Oh and another time when i met my step cousin for the 2nd time nd we went to the cinema and she held me hand and my hand was all sweaty, then she started stroking my leg. I have never slept so uneasily in my whole life.

Bobby_Oz

Edit: My message never showed up.

Anyways ^^lol.

And that reminds me of 3 ladies I work with. (all of them in their mid to late 40's)

Dude older women can do amazing things you have only dreammed off. And its no strings attached. If you can imagine somthin younger, you in the mix.

^^2nd that opinion. My girl's late 30's and i'm 24, trust me that older women are the best you'll ever have. Luckily mine doesn't look ANYTHING like those women he described though lol

She didn't notice? I'd consider that more embarrassing than her noticing :P

I know nobody cares, but I'm pissed because the girl left w/o me. I called her to see if she was out of class, and she said she was already almost home. I was the nicest I've ever been to anyone in my life, I made a special trip to school, and she just leaves w/o a goodbye or thanks or anything. What a b**** I can't believe her, I have a class with her on monday too, great.

This has turned from the most awkward moment in my life to the most disapointing/angering moment.

If she's anything like most girls that put guys in these kind of situations, I can tell you pretty much what's going to happen next.

- If you text/call her, she won't reply/answer.
- When you see her in cl@ss, she won't talk to you, or even look at you more than maybe once.
- When you see her in cl@ss, if you try and talk to her and see what's up (even innocently and genuinely), she'll either avoid you or give you a non-answer and you'll only make things worse.
- Her friends will most likely stop talking to you mysteriously.

Basically dude, she's giving you the silent and evasion treatment and that never ends well. A female friend of mine said that girls usually do that for one of two reasons:

- They like you but daren't tell you for fear of rejection
- They don't like you but daren't tell you for fear of hurting you

In my experience, this has rung painfully true, mostly as the latter.

There's where you went wrong my friend....you were NICE to the chick! WTF were you thinking, you NEVER be nice. Ever. Never compliment her, never make her feel special, never give her gifts. Not for at least a year, you don't do a freakin' thing for her. Trust me, girls (notice I didn't say WOMEN cuz there's a BIG difference) love guys that act like dickheads, don't ask me why.
