I just bought my wife components for a brand new gaming computer. Nothing crazy(like mine), but I'm going to get the case painted purple for her. All in all, just under 800 dollars.
What about you, OT?

I bought my dad the complete Star Wars Saga on Blue Ray, ran me about 80$, at the time I did my xmas shopping online I had also purchased the graphic novel Batman: Under the Red Hood for myself for less then 30$ which was what a local store was asking for it
I bought myself a recorder that was around 200 bucks.MistressMinako
Dare we ask what this recorder will be used for?
Now is it a recorder, the instrument? Or a recorder to record things like audio or visual. I'm also interested haha.

Good point. She can't very well tape her ritual human sacrifices with just a sound recorder!

Mainly for video game footage on some of the not so popular games/genres. Doing Lets Plays, Walkthroughs, anything else I can think of. I am thinking of other uses for it but I might be a while for that.pprobably about 50$ on a gift for my parents, If I had more money I would definitely be buying better gifts

It's the thought that counts.
Thanks for reminding me of that now I don't feel so bad about being cheap

The way my family usually works is everyone gets an "expensive" present, and a bunch of other things. So that's her expensive present.
I haven't bought any gifts yet. The most expensive gift I've gotten was an alarm clock/iPod deck for his birthday a couple years ago. With warranty, it was ~$100.Suzy_Q_Kazoo
Look at this thing I got my sister. She has trouble waking up, I figured I'd help her out. :D
I bought my Ma a 14k white gold cross pendant with a .1k diamond for about $220 or so. I got a deal on it as it normally sold for $350. I told my Pops that he had to buy something to go with it.
Now, I did buy a camera, lens, bag, flash and 3 filters for about $2000 for myself.

If I were her I wouldn't even want anything else, just thinking about getting 800$ in computer componets is making me drool

Pfff, can never have too many Christmas presents! She has no idea what she's getting too, which makes it even better.

The first time she gets woken up with it I'll probably find it thrown through my trucks windshield. Ah, should be good times.

An engagement ring for $8,000. But I usually only spend a few hundred bucks.Mac8457
Hope she's worth it, dude. My wife made me promise not to buy her an expensive ring.

Nah, not mine. I gave her a Zales catalogue and asked her which ones she liked and she picked a bunch and told me what she liked about them, then I went to my best-friend's dad and asked him to make one for me using the things she liked. I paid $2,000 but only because he shaved two gs off of it as a wedding present.
Best part was, she thought I was just going to go to Zales and buy one. Fooled her. She almost fell out of her seat when I showed it to her.
Yep, I kinda designed mine too. That means a lot more than just picking one out of a catalog. Congrats man.Mac8457
Sure does. And you too.
