So, guess The Pussycat Dolls have their own genre of music now:|. Well, I voted that, but I really think emo music is much worse. Some country is tolerable to me, which is why I won't say country as the worst.

are you comparing Fall Out Boy to The Cure?

I mean the 2 genres are totally different, most of the Industrial bands i like (Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, etc) wear make up, and look gothic, are you comparing them to emo???

I actually don't mind country music, at least its got a sense of humour. I also don't find emo/punk music all that bad. I hate screamo and most rap songs though.

ok i can't really rate it simply because you are placing genres together that don't belong

goth/emo is really differant. the average emo band is one with 3 guitars and a drumset playing generic rock music with a high pitched vocalist talking aobut how life doesn't understand him. goth music is most closely related to industial. which is an extremely open ended genre. electro industrial, metal industrial just to name a few. we usually have deep or electronically modified vocals. i live industrial and hate emo. but i did not vote.

also rap and R&B don't really go together either. R&B is about great vocal talent while rap is talking to a beat and ryming. and the lyrics for them usually differ greatly.

Gothic is more of a style, so in this case i think he means emos dress gothic. The bands u mentioned might dress somewhat gothic but they dont take it as far as emos do, well except for MM. w/e, lol ithink thats what he means.

Emo is by far the worst trend in music to come out in the past years.... All those groups (no not bands but groups, boy groups in most cases) will dissappear. The 14 year old girls that listen to them will grow up and move on to something else. It's just another fad that will go away.

Goth has been ruined.

Goth was started after the first wave of British Heavy Metal as a way to protest the outrageously long, refined and finished music that was associated with bands like Zepplin and Sabbath and who ever else. Ever here one of those 15 min long John Bongham drum solos? Thats what people started hating and out of that goth was born as a sort of protest. Marlyn Manson is not goth, he's somewhere between shock rock (KISS, ALice Cooper) and nu-metal.

Well i did say to the OP "are you comparing Fall Out Boy to the Cure." Also i never said Marilyn Manson was a goth, i said he looks gothic, and in most respects, he does. Just not 80s alternative Goth. He looks Industrial Gothic.
