Tupac, biggie and oh yeah Weird al, i'm not one of them white wannabe gansgtas but the reason i like Tupac and Biggies music is because they don't rap about drugs and Hookers but they rap about stuff that was going on in the world and they were both killed, the reason i like weird al is because he proved that comedy doesn't have to stick to movies and books but it can also influence music. danzoid_101

Definitely Nirvana. They were the first band that I ever enjoyed. Have been listening to and enjoying their music all my life.

Sadly, Limp Bizkit has to take the 2nd spot as they were my gateway band into metal which is now my major genre....

yes you have given me examples(yes i did infact listen to both, or atleast some of both), yet you haven't given me a written reason(like what qualities in your eyes make an emo band). Don't you agree there isn't "one" type of emo, all bands don't have to sound the same, grant it they have to sound similar. I still feel the bands i have listed fall under that category, although the term "emo" breaks into various categories as well.

Im gonna hafta say Red Hot Chili Peppers. I remember the day I first heard them. I was 12...wondered into a recored store and bought Uplift Mofo Party Plan. As soon as I finished that album...My ass was back in the store buying the other two Chili Peppers albums they had; Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Mother's Milk. Those albums got me into drumming, got me going to shows, got me into music in general.

Guns N Roses, The Misfits and Sublime also had a pretty big impact on me.

Ive got to say Tokio Hotel.

Their songs are so meaningtul and true.
