Big Bang Theory - tries too hard to be a clever comedy, so resorts to weak comedy.

I love HIMYM. It's over the top cheesy sometimes, which I thin it tries to be on purpose. I think the cast is great and the show is cleverly written. Just my two cents.
How I Met Your Mother can actually be pretty funny. You can at least get a relatable feel off it, and can usually feel that it's something that could actually happen. The Big Bang Theory on the otherhand is just awful. It's like the writers just sit in a room and try to come up with random "nerdy" things for the characters to do or say. Then they make them unnaturally socially inept, as to where even the most socially awkward people have to laugh.

Leonard hooked up with the hot girl. C'mon now, I aint that damn stupid. Because a "geeky" guy can't possibly get an "attractive" girl, right?
