Most underrated bands?

I find it interesting how a band like Nirvana gets mentioned over Soundgarden, Nirvana are pretty overrated actually... they sound very similar to Mudhoney while Soundgarden puts out their own styIe of grunge. Their album Superunknown is amazing (but that's not to say Ultramega OK and Louder Than Love are bad, oh no) , I like every song. I don't actually want to get into how much I like all their albums. Gimme a break! Soundgarden is NOT underrated. No, they did not get the publicity that Nirvanna got. Chris Cornell did not have his life scrutinized by the media like Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love etc. However, Soundgarden is one of the most influential "grunge"-era bands of all time.

this topic really is a persons personal opinion, so their is no right or wrong answer

As I said I know.....bands that have achieved succes are not underrrated. It seems you are the one that doesn't understand the term.

Stone Roses are under rated.

R.A.T.M are under rated.

Plenty of other bands I like are under rated ...
