Clearly the answer is mayonnaise.Gallion-Beast
that thread was funny till it got lock for being spam
how can mayonnaise be spam? its not even made out of pork!
and the true answer is the electric triangle
No way! Wind instruments are the underrated ones. Especially double reeds. (oboe, english horn, bassoon)
Stole my answer :( :P It is an AWESOME instrument. :D[QUOTE="astrozombie37"][QUOTE="cheesyjon"]

I'd say either most wind instruments or the viola.t3hrubikscube
Yeah violists are pretty grumpy folk unless they also play the violin regularly. I can't tell you how many times I've been accosted by a violist for not having a larger section dedicated to viola music as if it's something under my control.
But I would think probably the harmonica is sorely underrated considering its potential due to its very large dynamic range.

the accordion. It can actually sound pretty apathetic. But people think it's a nerdy instrument.

Oooooooh yeah that's a good one. There's some really great South American stuff but I'm particularly fond of some of the Finnish artists like Puhti andMaria Kalaniemi.

Not nerdy at all.
And the badass dude clapping to the beat from 0:16-0:20 just proves that fact to.
That was, without a doubt in my mind, one of the best damn videos I have ever seen in my life. The Dulcimer ... hate that I sold mine, but needed money at the time.

I want to learn these intruments aswell as the banjo. The banjo seems like a lot of fun and I need something to match my overalls.
Thanks! Here's your image (hopefully it works)A pirate Justin Hawkins? Holding a keytar? That is just pure awesome.

The triangle. :P
But seriously, I would perhaps say the oboe.
kimkim01
You do know that there is sheet music for this instrument?
Of course sheet music exists for it. But it is primarily a percussive instrument and varying the pitch accurately is very tricky as far as I know. It really is underrated though, a triangle toll in the right place can sound excellent.
