Well, nothing worked for me in the movie. I understand what you said, but the only part I found slightly creepy was when he stares at Laurie from the other garden, and is then gone. It's a good movie, but not as good as everyone says, in my opinion.

I liked the first half of the movie really well, but second half was just rehashed from the original and note made anywhere near as good.

I've honestly never seen Fight Club. It didn't look like my kind of movie, but I may have to watch it, because it seems to be a pretty popular choice.
