When I see those stuff a part of me says "Thats his/her life and body. Do what they want to do." But I cannot help but get scared. How can we know that the girl we´re hooking up used to be a guy?? That really freaks me out. But I could live with that as long as i never discovered. Or found a strange "man" feature on her body..

From what I could tell of the video he did not look to have that same build on his day 1 picture (of HRT) ...like his 'built' pics were probably some (unknown) amount of time before the day 1 pic (to show the contrast)

But don't say "No offence", as if that excuses whatever intolerant comment you come out with. If you're going to say something as strongly worded as you did, at least be honest about it - what you said would be seen as extremely offensive by some, and you know it.

1. Same gender. Different 'sex'. 2. It isn't common. It's rare. However, it does obviously occur, and there are firm biological and psychological reasons for it. 3. We do this because it's necessary. Otherwise it's (incredibly likely) a life of severe depression, self-loathing, etc. is ahead of us, unless we just go ahead and kill ourselves. It doesn't go away, there's no psychiatric cure. There's no rehabilitation. This much has been proven with hundreds of studies and through science. If you had a birth defect, you'd probably feel that any available cure would be a good start. The fact that the birth defect isn't so readily visible is what tends to confuse people. Understandable, but it doesn't change the fact that it severely hinders our lives. 4. Mental hospitals are not the place for us. They tried that through until the mid 1900s, with zero success. This is why the medically recommended treatment by the APA and pretty much all boards of medical professionals follows guidelines similar to what harry Benjamin set out(assessment through therapy, supervised HRT, eventual SRS). 5. I agree, but only because the way society is these days. I'd be scared to tell someone I'm trans, but I'd be terrified being in a long relationship and living with the reality that my partner could very well flip out and beat me/kill me in a state of rage and confusion. I'd rather take the lesser consequences of assault, stalking and rape that can occur when outing yourself at the onset of a relationship, because at least I can take proper precautions to avoid all that as much as possible. In the end though, it's a self-depreciating thing, because even if I know I'm a woman, I'm probably going to end up with a partner who sees me as a freak, or a man, or something in between a man and a woman....which would be problematic at a foundational level.

There's a lot of follow-ups that we need to go through to make sure our livers are handling it well, that there's no build up of various chemicals in our arteries...cancer is even more likely to occur(on top of already being more prone to cancer even before transition). There's a fair amount. I can't recall the number off by heart, but I vaguely remember someone saying transition may give you the life you deserve, but that life won't likely take you past 60. I'd imagine hormones take twenty or so years off a person's lifespan. That's my estimate, I don't have the studies in front of me atm.

Well, I didn't mean that there was an avalanche of ill-named transgendered women, just that the proportion seemed higher than in the born female population. Though that is still an assumption/perception on my part.
