Music is dead

There are no more good quality artists from the 60s,70s,80s or 90s.Check out which artists we have now like Bieber,Miley Cyrus,Jonas Brothers.They are all useless and overated artists.Before we had Elvis,The Beatles,Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson to name a few.

Now we have to rely on Lady Gaga which is decent at best.The only modern artists right now that I actually like is Beyonce and Alicia Keys.The sign of artists getting popular because of Youtube is a sign that music is dead.:cry:

I agree that music isn't what it used to be. Not to say all music today is crap, because there is some good stuff. I like the simplicity and the heart and soul from music in the 50's and 60's.

There are great artists out there, you just have to get away from top 40 music to find most of them.Travo_basic

You're just looking in the wrong places. There are many good artists in the post-rock/instrumental genre, you just have to look a bit .

(generic good music is dead now threads) theres good music check the intranet you have to look for it auto tune is evil/pop is evil

I hardly listen to any music made after 1995. My iPod is around 95% 1960-1995. I just can't find any bands theses days that sound like the great ones of the past. TheColbert

All of the music on my pc bar 2 albums are pre 2006. Music just isn't what it used to be.

- Flying Lotus
- Azari & III
- Sia
- Sigur Ros

- Ratatat
- Hercules & Love Affair
- The Field
- Tensnake
- Ame

The music doesn't stop at the end of the charts, that's just the beginning.

All music today is generic. I haven't heard anything unique in quite a while. ShadowofTulkas

Try Sigur Ros (strange Icelandic post-rock) or Evelyn Evelyn (punk cabaret). With a little bit of lurking, you can find quite a few unique bands.

I used to think the same thing, but I've found so many underground and indie that I listen to that I don't think it's true anymore. Check out bands like Phantogram, Foals, Low, MGMT, and Band of Horses -- those are all great groups. MGMT is a pretty popular group too. ;)
