What was it? My biggest thing was Backstreetboy, N'Sync, Britney Spears and Christina Aguleria.

Those in my high school typically chose one of two genres: country and rap. I went with the country. However, I haven't really listened to much country music the past 4 years or so.mindstorm
Much as I dislike both genres, you made the right choice. :P
Anyway... I listened to a lot of crap (Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Backstreet Boys, etc.)... :?

It's kinda embarrassing looking back at what music you used to listen to when you were a kid, right?
A lot of the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Back then the acts were still new and the term "classic rock" wasn't coined yet.The beatles were OK but after they became too good to tour (1966-I believe Shea Stadium was their last venue) a lot of folks turned on them.

I did listen to some classic rock when I was a kid, but I'm ashamed of all the other stuff I listened to
When I was really young, I used to listen to New Kids on the Block and Ace of Base. In high school I listened to a lot of music that was categorized as, "grunge."
When I was 6 or 7 I was really into russian Pop... I know... I'm ashamed of it myself... Lukily that sort of changed into russian rock, which led to classic rock, which led to (with a brief stop on West Coast rap) metal. And now I'm a headbanger. And I'm gonna die a headbanger. Probably from a headbanging injury...

Radiohead, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Martin Sexton, John Mayer, Citizen Cope All bad, aside from Radiohead.WolfattheDoor34I was quite a big fan of Radiohead. Ok Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac are all tied for first place when I rank their albums. Depending on my mood, those albums slightly shift in ranking. Nothing really stuck out for me post Amnesiac, but that doesn't mean they haven't written any good songs since then. I think the band makes better music when the members are depressed.
