I pretty much didn't listen to music when I was younger - being deprived and home schooled. The only album I can remember that I really got into was a CD with a bunch of Scooby Do themes on it. Besides that I liked "Crocodile Rock" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" (which I thought was "Bohemian Rap City".) I'm pretty sure thats it.

I used to listen to Nelly, Limp Bizkit, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, and Blink 182. The only one I ended up sticking with was Michael Jackson. I have to laugh at the other bands/artists I used to listen to though. :P

A variety of pop, hip-hop, rap, and rock from the 90's/early 00's. Basically anything that was popular and played on the radio stations I frequented often.

Those in my high school typically chose one of two genres: country and rap. I went with the country. However, I haven't really listened to much country music the past 4 years or so.

Much as I dislike both genres, you made the right choice. :P

Anyway... I listened to a lot of crap (Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Backstreet Boys, etc.)... :?

A lot of the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Back then the acts were still new and the term "classic rock" wasn't coined yet.The beatles were OK but after they became too good to tour (1966-I believe Shea Stadium was their last venue) a lot of folks turned on them.

When I was 6 or 7 I was really into russian Pop... I know... I'm ashamed of it myself... Lukily that sort of changed into russian rock, which led to classic rock, which led to (with a brief stop on West Coast rap) metal. And now I'm a headbanger. And I'm gonna die a headbanger. Probably from a headbanging injury...

I was quite a big fan of Radiohead. Ok Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac are all tied for first place when I rank their albums. Depending on my mood, those albums slightly shift in ranking. Nothing really stuck out for me post Amnesiac, but that doesn't mean they haven't written any good songs since then. I think the band makes better music when the members are depressed.

When I was in elementary school I just listened to oldies radio stations. I loved oldies and classic rock. I had a very, very, VERY brief thing for the Backstreet Boys, but I don't think it was very sincere. In junior high I broke away from the oldies a bit and got really into Linkin Park, The Offspring, Flogging Molly, ska, etc. I still like all of those except for Linkin Park. That quickly evolved into a strong love for all kinds of metal (bad stuff like Slipknot, classic stuff like Anthrax, other bands like Children of Bodom, etc.), but one day I just stopped listening to metal around the age of 15.

Nothing really. I'd occasionally listen to whatever was on the radio or TV, but other than that I was never big on music when I was younger. I could never contribute to ANY discussion involving my friends and the music they listened to. I remember vividly when there was a school trip and everyone on the coach started singing along to the songs on someone's CD player, and I didn't know a single damn word to any song. I only really started to explore music when I started university. I did know the words to A LOT of Disney songs though, if that counts... >__>
