I stole my brother's AC/DC and Guns N Roses CDs when I was in the 3rd grade and started my musical education that way.

I am proud to say the first album I ever bought was Earth Wind & Fire greatest hits:D

I'm not proud to say the next ones in order were Sum 41, Green Day, and Metallica

But then in Grade 4 I bought Americana by The Offspring :D and then came Limp Bizkit "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water"

I have a tough time remembering the music I listened to after that for a while, but keep in mind these were the first cds I ever bought!! Don't judge me!!

I used to the the Spice Girls

I used to the the Slayer. And I still do.

same!! as a working jazz musician I gig a lot with various jazz musicians and I end up driving a lot because I'm the drummer. Their mouths hit the floor when Angel of Death starts screaming at them when I start the ignition

Sum 41, The Offspring, Green Day and the likes before my brother showed me the awesomeness that was his Master of Puppets cassette.

BTW This is a bit off-topic, but my favorite band is now Megadeth, although I used to hate them and thought Metallica was much better. What got me into Megadeth? Hangar 18 on GH2.

Well I listened to all the mainstream music like Limp Bizkit (Looking back on what I thought nookie and rollin' were about still makes me laugh). My sister was kind of a "scene" kid so I started to get into indie music and ska, and I think that led to my huge taste in music today

When I was really young, like five, I had a few good songs like Hang on Sloopy, Chantilly Lace, and my personal favorite Great Balls of Fire. As a young kid I had taste.

I used to like a lot of alternative rock and British Indy music. I was never too into the hardcore dance/rave stuff that most kids of my generation was into, although there was no avoiding it back then.

Few tracks I remember.

Charlatans - North Country Boy.

Placebo - Come home

Shed Seven - Chasing Rainbows

Ash - Shining Light

I'm actually quite proud of my music past. Wasn't until I turned 18 when things changed quite drastically, mostly when I met with some girl who was into Korn, my brother was always a metelers but she sort of sparked something inside me which made me part of the person I am now. Strange how we identify ourselves with music sometimes.

Edit: Should also note that Off-Topic has introcuded many new bands to me which i've fallen in love with.
